How to Play Soul Hounds III
Dig Down the Block
Soul Hounds III is a game where players dig through the ground composed of color-coded blocks. Aim to dig deeper while being cautious of falling blocks to avoid being crushed.
Adjacent Blocks of the Same Color Can Be Destroyed Together
Adjacent blocks of the same color can be destroyed together by destroying one. You can dig efficiently, so if you can destroy them all at once, aim for them.
Soul Hounds III Tips for Digging Deep
- The basic strategy is to position yourself in the center
- Actively collect Pomegranate
- Press the Attack button in the air to accelerate
- Match the colors of the blocks and dig at once
- Dodge to connect blocks and get crushed
- Watch out for special blocks and devices
The Basic Strategy is to Position Yourself in the Center
Basically, avoid going to the edges of the screen and focus on digging through the center. This will give you more options to avoid falling blocks and make it easier to collect items like Pomegranate.
Actively Collect Pomegranate
Actively collect Pomegranate items that can restore energy. Each one restores 20 energy, which increases the time you can spend digging.
Press the Attack Button in the Air to Accelerate
Soul Hounds III accelerates by pressing the Attack button when in the air for a long time. If you accelerate, you can dig 3 blocks at once, and you can also break hard blocks in one go, so make sure to use it when you can.
Match the Colors of the Blocks and Dig at Once
In Soul Hounds III, you can advance quickly by digging through blocks of the same color that are connected. Additionally, if falling blocks connect with four or more blocks of the same color, they can be destroyed all at once.
To Dodge Being Crushed by Connecting Blocks
If you dig with a block on top, the block on top will fall down over time. At this time, if the block is combined with a block of the same color, the block will stop falling, so you can dodge from being crushed by the block.
Be Careful of Special Blocks and Devices
Special Block Example | ||
---|---|---|
Hard Block | Block with thorns | Unbreakable Blocks |
In addition to the basic colored blocks, there are blocks that take time to dig through and blocks that cause needles to pop out. Additionally, as you dig deeper, a laser beam-like device that attacks the target row will appear. So, don’t rush and dig carefully.
Soul Hounds III End & Win Conditions
The Game Ends When You Run Out of Lives in Single Player Mode
In single-player mode, keep an eye out for gimmicks and special blocks while continuously digging. Your score will be determined by the point you reach when you run out of lives.
Condition for Losing 1 Life: Being Crushed by Blocks
Being crushed by blocks will reduce your life by 1. You start with 2 lives, and the game ends when you lose all of them.
Condition for Losing 2 Life: Energy Becomes 0
The energy at the top right of the screen decreases over time, and when the energy reaches 0, your life decreases. If you pick up the Pomegranates that are falling on the way, you will recover energy, so make sure to proceed while picking up the Pomegranates.
You Win by Reaching 150 Meters in Multiplayer
In multiplayer, players compete to see who can reach 150 meters first. If no one reaches 150 meters within the time limit, the player who has dug the deepest wins. There is no game over as you don’t lose lives; you can respawn as many times as you need.
