Head North From The First Step Site Of Grace

If you head north from The First Step Site of Grace, where you can rest after the tutorial, you will see a church tower in front of you. If you head towards the tower, you will then reach the Church Of Elleh. If you see a Tree Sentinel waiting for you on the way, go around it to enter the church.

Do Not Alert The Tree Sentinel

You can find Tree Sentinel Boss in the middle of the Church of Elleh. If you are being chased, it will enter the church and attack you., so try not to provoke it. There are NPCs inside the church, so avoid attacking them accidentally during battle.

Buy A Crafting Kit From Merchant Kale

Merchant Kale is an NPC in the church that lets you buy and sell items. Crafting kits are essentially important as it enables you to craft items. If you have 300 runes, make it a priority to buy them.

If You Have Enough Runes, Buy A Torch

It isn't needed for now but it is recommended to get a torch for the Coastal Cave. It costs 200 runes, so come back once you are able to afford it!

Pick Up A Smithing Stone From The Blacksmith's Table

You will find a Blacksmith's table inside the church where equipment may be strengthened. There is a Smithing Stone [1] on top, which is a refinement material, so pick it up. If you have a Smithing Stone in possession, you may want to strengthen your current main weapon.

Come Back At Night Once You Get A Horse

If you enter the church at night with the horse in your possession, you will meet the NPC "Renna." If you refuse her question 2 consecutive times, she will disappear, but don't worry because you will still receive the item. You will obtain the Spectral Steed Whistle, which is an item required to summon the Spectral Steed

Merchant Kale Is Inside The Church

Merchant Kale can be found at the back of the church. You can find him near the lit bonfire, so it shouldn't be hard to miss. Speak to him to purchase items.

Renna Is Sitting On The Wall At Night

Renna the Witch appears in the Church Of Elleh only at night. If you don't have the Spectral Steed yet, head to Gatefront Ruins to proceed with the Melina Quest.
