User Score
Nekomata's Strength
Attack Character that can Damage Multiple Enemies
Nekomata is an Attack Character that can damage multiple enemies by attacking sideways and charging long distances at the enemy. She is good at fighting both large bosses and defeating multiple weaker enemies.
Dodge & Counter
Nekomata is very agile and also can use Perfect Dodge to counter attacks while applying a damage buff. She can continuously attack while moving around and can also use her dodge movements to counter attacks.
Nekomata's Weakness
Extreme Low Durability
While Nekomata has high Base ATK stats, her Endurance stats, especially Base DEF stats are very low. Because she has few attacks with invulnerability, you will need to fight while successfully dodging attacks not just to avoid damage but also to activate the damage buff.
Nekomata - Strategy and Combo
Switch characters with Quick Support from Support Characters
Nekomata can gain +30% damage buff for 6 seconds after using Quick Support. While maintaining the Support Effect, switch to the next ally, which you need to place to the right (next slot) of the Support Character, using Quick Support then deal high damage with EX Special Attack with all the buffs.
Aim for the Dodge Counter while Repeatedly Attacking with Basic Attack
After she finishes her first attack when entering battle, use regular Dodge Counter to maintain the total damage buff and fight mainly with Basic Attack's rush. The rush attack has a chance of being activated 3 times, but the Base Multiplier is low, so aim for 5 hits if possible.

Recommended W-engine
W-engine | Recommendation |
---|---|
Steel Cushion | Recommend: - Nekomata's signature W-engine - CRIT Rate and Physical Damage always greatly increased - Effect is enhanced when faced backwards which makes it easier to Daze |
Cannon Rotor | Recommend: - Combine with Advanced Stats to greatly increase CRIT Rate - Additional Damage upon Crit hit - Obtain in New Eridu City Fund |
Housekeeper | Recommend: - Enhanced Crit Damage and increased Energy Regen when out of battle - Physical DMG Buff almost never activates |
Starlight Engine | Recommend: - W-Engine that greatly increases ATK - Effect should activate frequently since you will be using assist attacks |
Nekomata - Best Team Comp
Cunning Hares Team
Early Game Cunning Hares Team Variant
This is an early Game Cunning Hares Team except Nekomata replaced Billy. Nicole's short time buff is a great match with a Quick Assist, finishing off enemies while they are gathered together.
Double Electric Team
Aim for Shock Anomaly
Use Anby and Rina who are both Electric and Billy's firepower to constantly aim for shocking the enemy. Nekomata can also apply Disorder if she stays in battle and all characters can activate their Additional Abilities in this team.
Nekomata can use Quick Assist
Support Character Rina can use her Special Attack, Chain Attack or Ultimate, then the next character can use Quick Assist to switch in. Nekomata can increase damage after using Quick Assist so always use Quick Assist to switch in for Rina.
Recommended Characters
Character | Recommendation |
---|---|
Anby | Recommend: - Additional Ability activates when another character in your squad shares the same Faction - Gives you many choices for the 3rd character with the most common Electric Attribute |
Nicole | Recommend: - Additional Ability activates when another character in your squad shares the same Faction - Works well with using the Energy Field and charging at the enemies - Utilize high burst damage against enemies |
Piper | Recommend: - Additional Ability activates when another character in your squad shares the same Attribute - Apply Flinch to Stun enemy faster without Stun character |
Rina | Recommend: - Additional Ability activates when Anby is in your squad - PEN buff is also powerful with long duration time |
Lucy | Recommend: - Additional Ability activates when Piper is in your squad - ATK buff is also powerful with long duration time |
Recommended Bangboo
Bangboo | Recommendation/Ranking |
---|---|
Amillion | Recommend: - Activate Additional Ability with 2 Cunning Hares Factions - Simple Physical Damage Bangboo |
Bangvolver | Recommend: - Activate Additional Ability with 2 Physical Attributes - Added Attribute Anomaly/high firepower - The problem is that Active Skill has a chance to miss |
Bagboo | Recommend: - Additional Ability automatically activated with 1 Attack - Simple Physical Damage Bangboo |
Booressure | Recommend: - Activate Additional Ability with 1 Support - Helps restore energy - Chain Attack cannot be used |

Best Mindscape Cinema for Nekomata
Effect and Recommended Mindscape Cinema
C1 | Bird Hunter When Nekomata hits an enemy from behind, she ignores 16% of her target's Physical RES. If the enemy is Stunned, all Nekomata's attacks are considered back attacks. |
---|---|
C2 | Cat & Mouse When there's only one enemy on the field and Nekomata is in combat, her Energy Generation Rate is increased by 25%. |
C3 | Curious Left Tail Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 |
C4 | Sharpen Claws When Nekomata uses her EX Special Attack, her CRIT Rate increases by 7% for 15s, stacking up to 2 times, with each stack's duration being calculated separately. |
C5 | Lucky Right Tail Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 |
C6 | Predator Lineage When Nekomata launches a Chain Attack or uses her Ultimate, her CRIT DMG increases by 18%, stacking up to 3 times. The effect expires when she's no longer in-combat. This effect gains maximum stacks immediately on defeating an enemy. |
Recommend C1
Nekomata is not easy to pull so most players will only have C0, but at C1 her damage output when attacking enemies from behind greatly increases. It's also a great match with her signature W-Engine, making battles a lot easier.
