How To Earn Money Fast In Mercenaries Mode
Get Kill Combos
Killing multiple enemies at once or in quick will give a hefty time & money bonus based on the amount of enemies killed. Mikhail's Shotgun & Carlos's M4A1 are a good weapon for this.
Use Barrels For Massive Boosts
Barrels can clear off hordes of zombies at once for massive time & Money boost. Wait for them to gather before blowing it up is worth the waiting time!
Survive!
If you die or run out of time before reaching the end, you'll only get half the amount of money if you were to finish. Sometimes its better to finish a fight with more time than trying to rush things and get killed.
Rescue Hostages For Supplies
Rescuing hostages littered around the map will provide not only time & money but resources as well, such as precious ammo. Their locations may be off the main path so decide on saving them if you have the time.

Use Mikhail For Fast Runs
Mikhail has the best firepower and HP, making it less labor & stress intensive to grind out money. Use him as your default Mercenary, as his shotgun combos into wonders.

Use Mikhail To Save Hostages
Mikhail has the firepower to get to most hostages, so try to save hostages as much as possible when using him. Other mercenaries like Carlos can save some sparingly, while Nicholai should be avoiding most of them.
Avoid Nicholai Until You Can Dodge
Nicholai relied heavily on his knife, meaning he needs to use dodge/ push commands a lot to get out of situations in order to progress. As this takes a lot of skill, avoid using Nicholai before you can dodge like a pro or its just a waste of time.

The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal is a endgame mini-game mode unlocked after beating the game. Here, you race against the clock using the 3 mercenaries to reach the warehouse in Uptown to earn money for Secret Weapons.

Separate Weapons For Different Difficulties
Though mercenaries mode is unlocked after both easy and hard mode, you can only use the secret weapons you bought for the mode you cleared. If you bought a secret weapon after clearing the game on Easy mode, that weapon will not be available when you start the game on Hard.
