Frag Grenades can be found in all areas of the game and can be picked up by both Jill and Carlos. Get them as they prove to be valuable tools when fighting against mobs and when stopping Nemesis.

Use To Wipe Out Crowds
The Frag Grenade can wipe out multiple targets in an area when thrown. Use these in situations involving large crowds of zombies. You can also use them efficiently by leading zombies through chokepoints, then tossing in the grenade.
Beat Nemesis With Frag Grenades
While beating Nemesis with conventional weapons is also effective, you can also maintain range and toss a grenade at it to stop it. This is a recommended technique when fighting during the early stages as downing Nemesis will cause it to drop custom weapon parts.
