Increases With Main And Side Quests

4 Vivarium + Inventory 55 Slots Is Recommended

The maximum number of Beasts that can be captured is 103, with a limit of 4 in each Vivairum Types (Forest, Coast, Marsh, and Grassland Vivarium) and 55 Beasts Inventory slots. However, note that only 4 species can be released into the Vivarium.

Vivarium Cannot Be Expanded On Its Own

The number of types of Vivarium increases, but the size of the Vivarium itself cannot be changed. Therefore, the maximum number of Beasts that can be released into each Vivarium is 4/12.

1. Approach secretly with Disillusionment
2. Lock in motion with Levioso
3. Slow down with Arresto Momentum
4. Use Nab Sack

Make sure your spells are ready and capable of capturing Beasts before attempting to catch it. Levioso and Arresto Momentum are a good combination to lock down movement.

Use The Nab Sack Many Times In A Short Amount Of Time

The gauge accumulated by using the Nab Sack will gradually decrease over time. Don't give up and keep trying to use the Nab Sack before the gauge disappears even if you can't catch it immediately.

Much Easier To Do When Difficulty Is In Story

You can easily catch it even on the Hard difficulty if you use the above method although setting the difficulty to Story makes it much more easier. Lower the difficulty level when you want to make money or when the capture is not going well.

What To Do With Beasts?

Store Inside The Breeding Grounds

Rescued or captured Beasts can be kept inside the breeding grounds that can be accessed inside the Room Of Requirement. The breeding ground will be unlocked after the Quests for The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and obtaining the item Nab Sack.

Breeding Is Possible Upon Progressing In The Story

You will be able to use the Breeding feature in the game as you progress in the main quest story, whereas you will be able to breed the females and males of the same species on the Breeding Grounds.

Obtain Enhancing Materials From Beasts

These Beasts inside your Breeding ground will give you enhancement items in exchange for taking good care of them, petting and feeding them inside the area.

Sell At Brood And Peck Vendor For Money

Captured Beasts can be sold at the Brood and Beck, a Beasts supply store located in Hogsmeade. However, you cannot select the beasts that have been added to the breeding grounds, so make sure to keep those beasts that you need and separate those that you want to sell in your Inventory.

If you want to keep the released Beasts back in your inventory, choose a beast and then click the square button on your controller (F for PC).

What Is A Beast?

Special Beast That Can Be Captured

Beasts are the creatures that can be captured. These beasts can be checked through Beasts archive.

Appears In Various Places

Beasts appear in various locations on the world map. The locations where they appear are fixed, and once you have found and located them, the location of their appearance will be displayed on the map.

Footprint Icon Will Indicate The Beast Location

The beast's den are marked on the map by a footprint, and by checking the map you can easily see that the footprints are indicated as the Beasts' locations. The locations is fixed, however it will not be displayed unless you are close to the area. You can also make use of Revelio to reveal the exact locations of beasts around you.

Icons Will Not Show Up Unless You Maximize Zoom

You need to zoom in the map up to its maximum to see the nest icons. If you want to check the location of a nest of Beasts you have discovered, zoom in and then search for them.

Color Difference Between Shiny And Normal Beasts

The Different Color Of The Beast Can Also Appear

Each Beast also has a different colored form. It is not known if they have a specific color or multiple colors, but they are definitely rare and should be captured when found.

Note however that we only confirmed one different colored beast that was obtained from the story. Whether or not all beast have them is not yet confirmed.

Breeding Between Different Colors Makes The Offspring's Colors Different Too

By breeding between Magical beast of the same color, its offspring will 100% inherit that specific color. However if you want a rare colored offspring, you should crossbreed magical beasts of different colors if you want your offspring.

Rare Beasts Are Not That Much Different

Even though it might be considered is a rare beast of its kind, the selling price of Shiny Beasts is the same as normal ones, including the number of available materials you can get is the same. Other than being able to see offspring with different colors, there is no difference other than it being rare.
