How To Ride Flying Broom

You Can Ride The Broom With The L1 + ○ Button

Getting a broom unlocks the Broom icon in the L1 toolbar. Once unlocked, you can get on the broom using the L1+○ button on PlayStation or the Tab + 3 on PC.

There Are Two Ways You Can Accelerate

You can accelerate by pressing and holding R2 or pressing the L button. If you press and hold L2, it will accelerate further, but it will consume the yellow gauge at the bottom right, so you can't use it for a long time.

There Are Areas Where You Can't Ride The Broom

In some areas, such as Hogsmeade and inside dungeons, you cannot ride the broom. You can find a mark in the lower left corner of the screen on the places where you cannot ride the broom.

Places Where You Can Buy Brooms

Brooms Are Available After Completing "Jackdaw's Rest"

Brooms will be available after completing the Main Quest "Jackdaw's Rest". Once completed, the Quest "Flying Class" will be unlocked, then you will be able to buy brooms at stores. You will be able to complete this quickly if you focus only on doing the Main Quests from the start of the game.

Steps to Unlock Brooms

  1. Progress the Main Quests until you complete "Jackdaw's Rest"
  2. Complete "Flying Class"
  3. Buy brooms in Hogsmeade

How To Unlock Broom Flying

It Costs At Least 600 Galleons

To buy a broom, you need at least 600 Galleons. Save up money If you want to get a broom. You can earn Galleons by selling Gear or opening Eye Chests.

Available from Wanderer Shops and Challenges

Brooms can be obtained from Wanderer Shops or as rewards for Challenges. You will be able to obtain them as you progress through the Quests and Challenges.

How To Upgrade Brooms

No Difference In Performance

There are different types of Brooms but all have the same performance, so you can choose your first broom according to your preference. When you have enough in-game money, you can also buy the rest of the brooms if you wish to collect all of it.

You Can Also Upgrade Brooms

You can upgrade your broom by completing quests from Mr. Weekes, the shop owner. By upgrading, you can enhance your broom performance such as its speed.

How To Upgrade Brooms

It is possible to upgrade your brooms at the broom shops in Hogsmeade after completing the following Side Quests. Even though it is considered an Upgrade, it does not enhance the performance of each broom, but only slightly increases the speed of brooms.
