How To Use The Breeding Pen (Vivarium)
Purchase A Breeding Pen Spellcraft In Foal Of The Dead Quest
First, place a Breeding Pen in the Vivarium. The Breeding Pen's Conjuring Spellcraft can be purchased in Tomes and Scrolls during the Side Quests "Foal of the Dead".

Secure A Pair Of Male And Female Beast
After installing the Breeding Pen, prepare a pair of ♂ and ♀ with the same beast. Different types of Beasts are not possible to breed with each other, so make sure to catch a pair when you want to breed a particular Beast species.
Breed Beasts In The Vivarium
You can choose the male and female Breeding Pair of a specific species to breed in the Breeding Pen as shown in the image. Make sure to catch the Beast that you want so that they appear in the choices to start breeding them in the Vivarium.
It Takes 30 Minutes To Produce An Offspring Beast
When you add the specific pair of beasts in the Breeding Pen, you can see the estimated time to hatch the egg or offspring if you interact with the Breeding Pen again. It takes 30 minutes in real time, so it is recommended to breed before Exploration or Quests. During this time, the Beast in the breeding pen cannot be groomed or fed.

Offsprings Does Not Grow
Take note that the offspring remain small no matter how many days have passed. There is no current update in the game if young Beasts may be able to develop into full grown adults in the future.
Breed Unique Beasts Challenges (The Nature Of The Beast)
It Is Possible To Breed 10 Beast Pairs
The challenge "Breed Unique Beasts" can be cleared if you breed 10 different kinds of Beasts.
Breed 12 Unique Beast To Get The Trophy
The trophy "The Nature of the Beast" can be obtained by breeding 12 out of the 13 types of Beasts registered in Collections. Only "Phoenix" is excluded because it can only be obtained once.
The Second Graphorn Rescued At The Nest
The second Graphorn can be encountered in the Graphorn Den on the lower right side of the map, near the Clagmar Castle side which is also the nearest floo flame location you can use to fast travel. You can catch the male Graphorn with Lord of the Shore Quest during the San Bakar's Trial Main Quest so it is recommended to catch a female Graphorn to pair it up with.
Different Color Appearance Of Each Beast
Each Beasts Has A Unique Color
Each of the Beast, with the exception of Phoenix, has a unique "color-matched" individual that is distinct from the rest of the other species. While it is normal that there are differences in coat color between the same beast species, Shiny Beasts with the star or + Marking have special distinctions than their normal counter parts, which you can catch as well to add to your collection.
▲The different colored individuals of Kneazle are about one size larger than the normal species. It is interesting to note that each species has its own unique characteristics.
Breeding Between Different Colors Also Makes The Offspring Have Different Colors
All offsprings with distinctive colors are born by breeding pairs of Beast with different colors. It is currently unknown how to obtain offsprings with unique colors other than this method, so make sure to breed rare beasts if you want offspring with special colors.
There Are No Special Difference Between Normal And Shiny Beast
Even though it is a rare individual, the selling price is the same as usual, and the number of materials available is the same as well. Other than being able to see offspring with different colors, there is no difference other than it being rare.
