Battle System
What To Do During Battle?
- Attack with damaging spells with R2 button
- Casted spells have cooldown
- Dispel enemy's barrier by using spells with same color

Spells With R2 Button
In battle, you can attack enemies with damaging spells with the R2 button. Normal attack can be executed by pressing and spells can be casted by holding and selecting the specific spell that you want to use.
How To Cast Spells - Magic Control Guide
Spells Have Cooldown
Once a spell has been casted, it undergoes cooldown which can be seen at the bottom right of the screen. The cooldown duration must be over before using the spell again. Ensure to strategize before casting so the spell won't be wasted.
Dispel Barrier With Spells Of Same Color
The barrier of an enemy can be broken by hitting it with a spell that matches its color. Dispelling the barriers should be prioritized as normal attacks do not affect protected enemies.
Other Way Of Dispelling A Barrier
Besides using a spell that matches the barrier's color, another way to break a barrier is by using an object on the field; when the R1 button is shown on the screen, it is the signal that you can use an object in the area and use it against the enemy's barrier.
Ancient Magic For Greater Damage
Accumulating Ancient Magic gauge is required to cast Ancient Magic. When L1+R1 buttons are displayed above the enemy, Ancient Magic is ready to use which can deal heavy damage when casted.
Recover HP When Necessary
Whenever your HP gets decreased very low, make it a habit to recover by pressing the down button but ensure that you have recovery items in your inventory. If you ever run out of recovery items, escaping is the only way to survive.
Combat Tips
Avoid Incoming Attacks By Rolling
A circle is displayed around your character's head which signals an incoming attack. You can avoid the incoming attack by rolling at the right time and your HP does not decrease when perfect evasion has been done which is useful for conserving HP.
Use Target Lock
Press the R3 button to target lock the enemy. This enables your camera angle to focus on the locked target which is convenient, especially when casting spells. Also, the red circle on the enemy indicates the target lock status.
Try To Use Combos
Combo is a series of spells executed in a specific manner. For instance, using levitate enemies with Levioso, attack with spell damage, and draw with Accio makes the enemies vulnerable to incoming damage.
Collect Orbs For Ancient Magic Gauge
The orbs produced when using spells are used for accumulating the gauge for Ancient Magic. Collect the orbs whenever you see it so you can utilize Ancient Magic.
Execute Combo With 10 Spells
Ancient Magic gauge can be filled by utilizing a combo with 10 spells. Do your best to avoid incoming attacks so the combo does not break.
