- Speak to Sirona at Three Broomsticks
- Speak to Dorothy
- Go to Horklump Hollow
- Defeat the Mountain Troll
- Get the Letters and Letter Box
- Return the Letters and letter Box to Sirona
Speak to Sirona who is in Three Broomsticks located in Hogsmeade to receive the Side Quest. She will ask you to help Dorothy who is in Upper Hogsfield.
When you speak to Dorothy who is in Upper Hogsfield, she will ask you to gather Horklump Juice. If you have more than 3 then you can give it to her there. She will also ask you to collect her husband's Letter Box as well.
After you collect Horklump Juice at Horklump Hollow, keep going deeper.
There Will Be A Treasure Chest On The Way
There is a treasure chest around the lake on the way to the cave. Break the wooden board with basic magic, then light up the middle platform with Confringo then you will not be bothered by vines and be able to get the Treasure Chest.
To defeat the Mountain Troll, it is recommended to have Lv 24. If you still can't defeat it, then you can lower your difficulty.

When you past the area of the Mountain Troll, there are 5 letters and a Letter Box. If you keep going forward you will be able to exit through the Forbidden Forest. If you haven't given the Horklump Juice to Dorothy then do so first.
Give the letter box to Sirona and you have completed the Side Quest.
A Friend In Deed - Rewards
Conjuration: Keg Shelf
Item that you can set up in Room of Requirement.
XP+180
As a reward, you will earn XP+180. Challenge it when you need to raise your level to learn new spells.

Sirona who is the client for "A Friend In Deed", is also the starter for Main Quest "The Helm of Urtkot". After completing the request of Lodgok, it will active this event.
