Press Up On D-Pad Or L-Alt To Ping
As per default setting, you may set a ping to any point of interest by pushing Up on the D-pad when using a controller, or tap the left alt key on the keyboard. Pushing the Ping key will mark the point of your reticle.
Ping Twice For Danger
By pinging the same spot twice in quick succession can mark the location for danger, alerting your teammates about a possible threat. You can also mark the enemy themselves by pinging directly on the target.
Use Map Pings To Mark Down Location
You can also use map pings to mark down location of interest or destination when repositioning on the map. This can be useful when you and your teammates need to regroup or plot out a course of action throughout the map.
About Ping System
Use Ping To Mark Enemy, Loots & Location
Pinging can easily call your teammate's attention. You can use this to mark an enemy location, a loot or Contracts, or even points of entry when coordinating to reposition.
Don't Spam Pings
Although it is a very useful mean of communication, be sure not to spam unnecessary Pings as these notification will also be shared amongst your teammates, often annoying and discouraging them. Use it sparingly and when necessary.
