How to Get Origin Gems

How to Get Origin Gems

Event Quests

The Event Voyage into Uncharted Waters offers Origin Gems as one of its many quest rewards. The objectives for the event quests all involve dispatching Expeditions, so consistently playing the Expedition Mode will eventually award dedicated players with all of the available Origin Gems.

Expedition Quests

Expedition Quests can be found on the lower left side of the Expedition Screen. These quests are split up into Phases, with each quest awarding a small amount of Origin Gems, while completing an entire Phase will award a more substantial amount of Origin Gems.

Daily Expedition Quests

Once each day, players will receive a Daily Expedition Quest that rewards players with Origin Gems. While the award is only a small amount at 2 per day, Daily Expedition Quests are a stable and consistent source of Origin Gems. It's also worth noting that while Daily Expedition Quests will normally appear with 2 objectives, players will only need to complete one of the two in order to claim the rewards.

Note!	Daily Expedition Quests can be unlocked by reaching a Lv.22 Expedition Lighthouse! This takes around 20 days of dispatching Expeditions daily, so be sure to play everyday to unlock Daily Expedition Quests sooner!

How to Use Origin Gems

Purchase New Characters

Expedition Exclusive Characters
Kiya	SchackLulu

Currently, there are two Legendary characters that you can only obtain via the Expedition Exchange shop, Kiya and SchackLulu. Both characters cost 200 Origin Gems each, so players who chose to purchase other items will need to wait a while longer before they can unlock both Kiya and SchackLulu.

Purchase Signature Gear

The introduction of the Expedition System also added new signature gear for Cocoa, Agata, and Momo. The initial purchase cost for each is 50 Origin Gems, while additional copies will cost 100 Origin Gems each. This means that to get a 5-star version of any Gear, you will need to spend a total of 450 Origin Gems.

Gears are BiS for Related Characters

Beginners should focus on acquiring Kiya and SchackLulu to help round out their character roster. However, it is worth noting that the newly added signature weapons are considered the Best in Slot (BiS) for these characters. If you deploy Agata, Cocoa, or Momo often, we recommend securing their signature gear.

Purchase Astral Shards

Astral Shards are another form of currency that can be spent by visiting the Gear tab in the Shop to purchase Astral Forges. These Astral Forges contain 1 of 3 random Astral Imprints (Signature Gear) and cost 200 Astral Shards each. Players can purchase 10 Astral Shards for 10 Origin Gems, which is essentially a 1:1 exchange rate.

Purchase Immortal Recollections

Immortal Recollections are materials that can be used in place of a character's Memory Shards. As long as the character matches the Role of the recollection, players can use them as substitutes to shorten the amount of time it takes to perform a Star Level Up.

Purchase Badges

Badges are used to unlock and upgrade Ascension Skills, which are granted to characters once they reach Rk13. Farming these badges normally will take some time since players are only allowed to enter the Pioneer Challenge 3 times a week. Hence, players who are looking to improve their Ascension Skills quickly will want to consider purchasing the Badges relevant to their character.

As stated above, Origin Gems are a unique currency that can be exchanged for various luxurious rewards in the Expedition Exchange Shop. At the time of writing, farming enough Origin Gems to buyout the entire shop may take multiple months. But the rewards are well worth the effort.
