Pooch Runrun Pros and Strength
Pooch Runrun's Character Overview
- Highly Durable with Many DoTs
- Effectively Counters Single-target Attacks
- Inflicts Various Debuffs
- Offset Weaknesses with Supports
Highly Durable with Many DoTs
Pooch Runrun is a character who can inflict multiple DoT debuffs while also excelling in durability thanks to damage reduction and multiple Dodges. There are two builds available — one that deals DoT by receiving attacks, and one that actively attacks to inflict DoT — so make the most of her by switching between them depending on the stage.
Effectively Counters Single-Target Attacks
Her Trait inflicts DoTs when she is attacked. The Dodge build's main Skill [Spotlight Entrance] grants up to 8 Dodges, and she also has Skills that grant Dodge effects and Skills that Strike Back upon Dodging, making her unmatched in stages centered around single-target attacks. On the other hand, she has difficulty showcasing her full potential against AoE attacks, so it is important to identify which stages she excels in.
Adjust Your Build as Needed
A build specialized in active attacks and DoT infliction is also viable, so in stages with many AoE attacks, switch to a Skill lineup centered around [The Show Begins!]. This will result in a build that can also perform well in single-target battles.
Inflicts Various Debuffs

In addition to DoT, she can also inflict various debuffs such as the [Taunt] debuff that directs enemies' attacks toward herself, as well as Attribute Debuffs. She also possesses an Aura through her Trait that increases the amount of DoT received by surrounding enemies, making her even more powerful when paired with characters who excel at inflicting DoT.
Offset Weaknesses with Supports
While she excels at inflicting DoT and has high durability, having support for mobility, building [Liberation], and NRG Recovery will make her easier to play. Additionally, unlike typical tank roles, she has limited HP recovery options, so depending on the situation, you may need to prepare a means of recovery. Bring out her full potential by considering how to compensate for her weaknesses through Gear and other characters depending on your needs.

| Star Level Up Priority | Recommended Star Level |

Prioritize reaching 3-stars since at the start of battle, you immediately gain 10 stacks of the [Restraint] buff, and the number of times you can apply DoTs when attacked increases. Additionally, raising Pooch Runrun to 5-stars further increases the number of times you can apply DoTs.

Priority Skills
| Skill | Priority and Details |
|---|---|
Rousing Dance | ★★★★★ Instantly grants 10 Liberation stacks, buffs, and removes debuffs. Since Liberation is important in all builds, prioritize including this Skill above all else. |
Veiled Silhouette | ★★★★★ A Reaction that grants -20% damage reduction and grants unlimited [Dodge] when [Dying]. You generally want to have this included in your build. |
Rending Strike | ★★★★★ A Basic Attack that inflicts the [Infection] DoT. As a character specializing in DoTs, this is the clear choice. |
Spotlight Entrance | ★★★★ The main Skill for Dodge builds. Greatly increases durability, and with 10 or more Liberation stacks, grants 8 Dodges, making it extremely effective against single-target attacks. Prioritize including this Skill in stages focused on single-target attacks. |
The Show Begins! | ★★★★ A Skill that deals damage while inflicting DoT and various debuffs. In stages not focused on single-target attacks, [Spotlight Entrance]'s Dodge is less effective, so use this Skill as your main one. It is also a powerful Skill in single-target combat due to its many debuffs. |
| Skill | Priority and Details |
|---|---|
Prismatic Orb | ★★★ A rare Skill among Pooch Runrun's Skills that can grant the Liberation buff. Since total damage is also high due to Damage Over Time, it is worth including in an Attacker build. |
Illusive Spectacle | ★★★ A Passive with a Strike Back effect on Dodge and a Dodge effect. Prioritize including this in Dodge builds. |
NRG Recovery | ★★ Worth including in stages where taking damage is not a concern. |
Intermission | ★★ A Skill with healing and buff effects, though not Instant. Since Pooch Runrun has no other healing Skills, include this when healing is needed for solo play. |
Sharpened Blade - Extra | ★★ Consider including this when you want to apply an Attack Attribute Debuff or a Healing Received debuff. |
Sand Erosion Bottle | ★ Only include this when you want to change panels or absolutely need Blind. |
Knockback Combo | ★ Worth including when a Fall Kill is possible, but generally have another character with higher mobility fill that role. |
Silencing Attack (Ranged) | ★ Worth including in stages where active Skills are troublesome. |
