Cocoa Pros and Strength

Specializes in Supporting Allies and Assisting Cover

Cocoa's Traits and Skills specialize in supporting allies and providing Assisting Cover. Enhance your team with her Traits and Skills that offer not only high recovery amounts but also a wide range of effects, such as cost and cooldown reduction, as well as critical support.

Get ★5 to Maximize Potential

Cocoa's Trait grants buffs like [Breakfast], which has HP recovery and debuff removal effects, and [Happiness], which reduces NRG consumption by 1 and reduces CD by 1. However, at ★1 to ★4 Levels, the [Happiness] buff effect only activates at certain probabilities, so ★5 is required to fully use this ability. Thus prioritize collecting Memory Shards.

Powerful Assisting Cover and Auto Recovery

When the character is not in a dying state, she has [Potluck Protector], which provides defensive support to shield surrounding allies. This skill can be combined with [Try Harder!], which recovers HP after receiving a single attack. This combination allows the character to absorb attacks while simultaneously recovering HP, significantly enhancing the party's defense.

Be Careful of Numerous Attacks and M.ATK

There is no limit to the number of times she can take attacks for her allies, but she can only recover with [Stay Strong!] up to 2 times. Therefore, you need to be cautious not to find yourself in a situation where your recovery cannot keep up with attacks from numerous enemies or M.ATK, to which Defender characters are particularly vulnerable.

Use Different Skills Based on the Situation

Optional SkillsEffect
Springy BandageInstant single recovery skill
Ancient PotionSingle target recovery & NRG+1
Snow LotusDebuff removed + damage dealt 30% UP & damage received 30% reduced
Hallucinogenic MushroomGives 30% of Max HP penetration damage + Sleep + Infection 2 to a single target

Cocoa's Treasure Chest offers the option to use one of four available skills, each with powerful effects. Primarily use [Snow Lotus] to increase damage dealt and reduce damage taken or utilize [Hallucinogenic Mushroom] to deal damage, penetrate defenses, and apply debuffs. Meanwhile, choose recovery skills when needed based on the situation.

Excels in Various Stages

By using various skills, you can deploy high-performance abilities such as support, Assisting Cover, single-target debuffs, and damage reduction depending on the stage. Since she is powerful against both single and multiple enemies, it is recommended to prioritize strengthening her by collecting memory shards and Tarot cards.

Aim to Reach 5★

Star Level Up PriorityRecommended Star Level
SSS Tier5★

At 5-stars, Cocoa guarantees granting the [Happiness] after triggering [Breakfast] or [Bento]. At 4-stars or below, the chance of triggering [Happiness] is a measly 30%. Since [Happiness] reduces the NRG costs and CD by 1 for any skills, it is a very powerful buff, making Cocoa a top priority for 5-stars.

Priority Skills

SkillBuild Priority and Skills
Potluck ProtectorPotluck Protector★★★★★
An extremely powerful skill that grants Assisting Cover to allies within 2 tiles—with no usage limit. With increased durability, the user can absorb many single-target attacks, making this a top-priority skill to equip—except in stages that focus heavily on area-of-effect attacks.
Cocoa's Treasure ChestCocoa's Treasure Chest★★★★★
An extremely powerful skill that lets you choose between healing, removing debuffs and buffing allies, or dealing piercing damage while applying debuffs. Its versatility makes it a top-priority skill to equip. However, use it carefully since it has a limited number of uses.
Stay Strong!Stay Strong!★★★★★
A powerful Reaction skill that triggers healing after a single-target attack. When paired with [Potluck Protector], it allows you to shield allies and then restore HP. However, since it can only activate twice per turn, it’s best not to rely on it as your sole source of healing.
Iron Pot StewIron Pot Stew★★★★★
Grants allies within 3 tiles a large HP heal, Critical Support, and a Bento buff. At 5-stars, the Bento is guaranteed to include a Skill Cost or Cooldown Reduction buff (Happiness). This is an extremely powerful skill and well worth prioritizing.
Armor-Piercing StrikeArmor-Piercing Strike★★★★
Although Cocoa rarely uses Basic Attacks, this one is recommended because its debuff increases the damage allies deal.
InvulnerableInvulnerable★★★★
A skill with multiple effects that significantly boost durability, starting with a 40% damage taken reduction. It's especially powerful when combined with [Potluck Protector], making it a great choice for stages with hard-hitting opponents.
Secondary Priorities
SkillBuild Priority and Details
Try the Pan!Try the Pan!★★★
Has a valuable 3-tile knockback effect and a powerful debuff that reduces physical defense by 40% and speed by 100. While its build priority is lower due to the potency of Cocoa's other skills, it’s highly recommended for stages with single-target bosses or where knockback is especially useful.
Crushing BashCrushing Bash★★
A skill that increases enemy damage taken by 20% with no cost. Against single-target bosses, if other characters can apply physical defense down, equipping this instead of [Try the Pan!] can be a viable option.
Defense (Ranged Attack)Defense (Ranged Attack)
When equipped with [Stay Strong!], this skill is especially useful in stages with powerful ranged single-target attacks that can take you down in just one or two hits.
No Turning Round!No Turning Round!
A Basic Attack that has a high chance to inflict Stun when performing a back attack. While Stun is a powerful effect, Cocoa rarely uses Basic Attacks, and her low movement makes it hard to get behind enemies, so this skill has a low slotting priority.

Recommended Gear, Tarots, & Engravings

Recommended Weapons for Cocoa

Brutal AxeBrutal AxeHollow AxeHollow AxeTuning HammerTuning Hammer

Since Cocoa's healing amount scales with her Max HP, the [Brutal Axe] is the most recommended. Otherwise, the [Denial Hammer] is also viable for dispelling enemy buffs.

Recommended Trinkets for Cocoa

Crystal Burst ArmorCrystal Burst ArmorMystery GuardianMystery GuardianCooling PowderCooling Powder

For Cocoa, if your team doesn’t have many ways to apply buffs, the [Evergreen Pendent] is a great early game choice since it grants buffs through self-healing. Endgame alternatives include either the [Crystal Burst Armor] for boosting HP, or [Cooling Powder] and [Mystery Guardian] if you’re looking to increase Cocoa's durability and stay in the fight longer.

Recommended Tarots for Cocoa

The Fool's NaivetyThe Fool's NaivetySilence of The HermitSilence of The HermitMercy of The High PriestessMercy of The High Priestess

[The Fool's Naivety] is by far the best Tarot for Cocoa because of the hefty boost to HP stat, which affects the potency of her heals and her ability to tank. Alternatives include [Hermit] to to help Cocoa tank, while [High Priestess] helps boost her heals, but these are both effects that the [Fool] Tarot grants, so make sure to equip it once you get one with good attribute rolls.

Recommended Engravings for Cocoa

Cocoa's most crucial stat is her HP. Therefore, engraving [Pentacle + Pentacle] to increase HP is recommended since Pentacles HP rolls are higher than that of other Engravings. The engraving bonuses are also beneficial for Cocoa's role as a Defender.

Cocoa is a half-Vltar, half-Irian girl—an oddball adventurer carrying a hodgepodge of travel gear wherever she goes. Mischievous and full of spirit, she loves to tell wild, chaotic tales of her journeys. Her beastly ears and tailless form often draw attention no matter where she travels, but she doesn’t mind in the slightest. Cocoa proudly embraces her Vltar heritage, never hiding who she is. Behind her lively appearance lies a painful past. In search of her missing parents, she left the Vltar Mountains at a young age and has spent years wandering the lands, chasing clues about her origins. Yet wherever she goes, Cocoa remains a bright and cheerful presence.
