Leonide Pros and Strength

Knockback King

Leonides skill tree has multiple versions of knockback. When playing levels with a lot of cliffs, deep water, or abyss, consider equipping Leonide with [All-Out Pike Thrust] and [Radiant Guard]. With these two skills, Leonide can knock most enemies around, assuming you have enough maximum HP to reliably trigger his passive skill.

Radiant Guard works with gear skills

[Radiant Guard] allows all of Leonide's attacks to knockback enemies if his max HP is higher than the target's current HP. If these conditions are met, even gear skills from [Flying Blade Armguard], [Roaring Flint], and [Disaster Bottle]. Amongst these gear skills [Roaring Flint] is the most noteworthy since its damage is based off HP. Which synergizes well with Leonide since you'll be pumping his HP stat if you intend to use him as a push-based character.

Charge Stance Usage

Leonide's RK 3 [Charge Stance] is a powerful ability that increases Leonide's movement by 2 tiles. However, this skill limits Leonide's movement to only straight lines. By equipping the [Fancy Hat] Trinket, you can bypass the movement limitations of Charge Stance, and allow Leonide more freedom to choose his positioning.
