Extremely Powerful AoE Attacks

Marcille possesses numerous attack Skills with excellent range and areas of effect. She has various ways to increase her damage output, such as her Trait, Passives, and the [Full Mana] buff, allowing her to deal some of the highest AoE damage amongst all characters. She is especially reliable in battles against multiple enemies.

Enhances Skills with "Full Mana"

[Full Mana] significantly increases the performance of each Skill. You can gain a certain number of Full Mana stacks by increasing her star level or by equipping certain Skills and using [Standby]. By utilizing repositioning effects like the one from her signature gear or with the March Command tactical skill, you can also generate [Full Mana] stacks after attacking.

Full Mana Mechanics

Full Mana Details

Effect Per stack: DMG +20%, Max Skill Range +1, NRG +2 when using Class Skill. Can hold up to 2 stacks. Consumes 1 stack upon Skill use.
How to Get 1: Gain a certain number of stacks at the start of battle (1-star to 2-stars: 1 stack, 3-stars to 5-stars: 2 stacks)

2: At 3-stars or higher, gain 1 stack on Standby. At 5-stars, gain 2 stacks.

3: When [Mana Recovery] is equipped, gain 1 stack on Standby.

Enhanced Skills and Effects [Explosion]: Deals an additional 30% damage to the target and all enemies within a 3-tile radius, and applies [✗Attribute Buff].

[Short Route]: Move increases from +1 to +2, and can ignore Frosty and Burning panel effects.

[Fireball]: For each stack of Full Mana, DMG +30% and removes 1 additional buff.

[Powerful Explosion]: Attack range expands by 1 tile, and ignores an additional 20% of the target's DEF.


Use AoE Attacks Strategically

Marcille has three types of AoE attacks, each with different characteristics. Instead of using just one, be mindful of switching between them depending on the stage and your party to maximize her effectiveness. The features of these Skills are explained below, so please refer to the skill section!

Can Heal and Increase Move

In addition to her AoE attacks, Marcille also has many utility Skills, such as a Passive Skill that restores the NRG and HP of nearby allies when she has 2 stacks of [Full Mana], an Instant large healing Skill, and an AoE support Skill that increases Move. This allows her to support the party in ways other than just attacking.

Identify Unfavorable Stages

While she excels at Magical AoE DMG, she does not have any Skills that inflict Damage Over Time or Piercing DMG. Be aware that her damage output will be lowered in stages where M.ATK is reduced or against enemies with high M.DEF.

It has the widest attack range, and although its multiplier is low, the 'Ignore 20% DEF' effect allows for consistent damage against highly durable enemies or even when you haven't applied debuffs. Since it can also remove buffs, it's recommended to use this Skill as your main, and depending on the situation, switch to other Skills or equip this alongside them.

One of the three powerful AoE attack Skills you can learn. It features high single-target damage in exchange for low AoE damage, can remove many buffs, apply the '✗Attribute Buff' debuff, and has relatively low NRG consumption. Equip this Skill when you need to prioritize buff removal or single-target damage, or in stages where Attribute Buffs are a problem.

An excellent Skill that grants 'NRG+1', 'HP Recovery +20%', and 'ATK +20%' within 3 tiles if you have 2 stacks of [Full Mana]. It's also useful for managing stacks when your Star Level is low. Prioritize equipping this.

A Passive that greatly increases DMG dealt against Healthy enemies, and also increases DMG dealt when you don't have any debuffs. Whenever you aren't slotting numerous AoE attack Skills, use this Passive to boost your DMG.

One of the three powerful AoE attack Skills you can learn. It requires a 1-turn setup but deals the highest damage. It's characterized by applying Move DOWN and DMG Taken UP to enemies within its range during the setup. Because it requires a setup, it's difficult to guarantee landing the attack, but it can be the most powerful Skill depending on the situation. Equip this Skill when the Move debuff is effective, when you want to slow the enemy's advance, or when you need Vulnerable.
