List of Upcoming and New Characters

This is a list of all the upcoming, unreleased, and new characters for Sword of Convallaria (SoC). Read on to see a list of new characters, as well as our initial thoughts on them!

Upcoming Characters

Ivan?

Ivan is an AoE Attacker who creates Permafrost. From what we understand, these Permafrosted enemies are frozen in place, and any enemies who walk too close take damage, functioning similarly to an [Alert]. It's also worth noting that Ivan converts his P.ATK into M.ATK, similar to Nungal and Tristan, which means he is weak against enemies who negate M.DMG despite scaling from P.ATK.

New Character Release Every 2 Weeks

In Sword of Convallaria, a new character banner is introduced to the Global server every other Friday. Official communities like Twitter/X will often release promotional infographics such as the one above shortly before a new character is added to the game.

Note!	Kiya, SchackLulu, and Senshi are the only characters that were not introduced with featured banners.

CN/TW Servers are 6 Months Ahead

Since the alternate servers of Sword of Convallaria are approximately half a year ahead in terms of content, we can use those servers as a way to glimpse the future content and characters that will eventually be added to the Global server.

Remember to take our recommendations below with a grain of salt since these are merely our initial thoughts, and these characters are unreleased, and untested on global servers. Our list is meant to serve as a reference for when and who you should be saving your Hope Luxites for, as well as to glimpse new SoC characters.

Important!	Our pull recommendations are subject to change after further testing. Note that Skippable does not mean weak. It simply means there are other units who can provide similar value.

Finn

Despite being a Defender, Finn has the potential to deal significant damage because he converts a portion of his P.DEF into P.ATK. Also notable is his innate ability to summon a wolf companion which also interplays with his skill kit, similar to how Flavia and her plants function. With access to Piercing DMG, a summon, and a sturdy Defense that makes him hit harder, a well-built Finn is likely to shine in almost any situation.

Sena

Sena is a powerful AoE attacker who deals Piercing M.DMG, DoTs, and a unique thorns debuff to enemies. Her AoE attacks affect large, unique patterns, and her basic attacks apply [Vulnerable] and [Piercing Vulnerable], making her a very a potent DPS or secondary DPS unit.

SP Agata

SP Agata is a mobile AoE Physical attacker. Her gameplay style is similar to SP Rawiyah, in that she can use multiple AoE attacks in succession, provided she has enough stacks of Sharpness. In addition, SP Agata also utilizes multiple off-turn attacks, meaning Tarots like The Tower are also viable, allowing for varied build options.

Arman

Arman is a unique unit who can increase the effects of his abilities according to the amount of NRG he consumes. Some of his skills completely exhaust his NRG while conditionally replenishing his NRG. He also has effects that allow him to store excess NRG to be used in later turns. Arman also has a unique Invincibility buff, which even blocks [Piercing DMG]. Overall, Arman is a walking Nuclear Power Plant who deals explosive DMG, but is largely reliant on NRG recovery or his signature gear.

SP Beryl

SP Beryl is a very powerful AoE M.ATK DPS unit. Her attacks are characterized by their cross-shaped patterns, and she can unleash multiple, devastating AoE attacks in quick succession. In addition, SP Beryl can also use a Summon which can be attacked by allied units to enhance its effects, as well as deal [Piercing DMG]. SP Beryl also has the rare effect of gathering enemies, allowing her to forcibly reposition enemies closer to one another for easier AoE targeting.

Porewit

Porewit is a Support unit who can utilize frozen tiles to increase the range of his skills, similar to how Luvata uses burning tiles. Porewit provides offensive utilities and reaches his full potential when deployed alongside the upcoming Lucian units. As a standalone support, Porewit can be somewhat niche, so only pull for him if you really want to utilize Lucian units.

Finalter

Finalter is a versatile Defender who specializes in battlefield control and support rather than raw damage. Her unique mechanics allow allies to reposition around the battlefield while restoring NRG and Skill cooldowns, giving her valuable utility and enabling strategies that other characters cannot replicate. She also has strong synergy with Sword of Convallaria and Dimension Traveler teams through her Rally-related abilities. Her value is especially apparent in difficult content where careful positioning and Skill management matter, although her complex mechanics can make her harder to use than conventional Defenders.

SP Col

SP Col is a high-mobility single-target DPS who can switch between P.DMG and Piercing DMG. Her kit includes powerful attacks with teleports, repositioning, Dodge, Invisibility, and Act Again, making her effective against single-targets and bosses. However, her value is heavily influenced by SoC's current preference for AoE damage, making her less useful than characters that can handle groups of enemies or provide broader team utility. She is a strong choice for players looking for a powerful single-target attacker, but is less of a priority for players who already have sufficient DPS options.

Claire

Cleia is a versatile ranged Defender who combines strong P. DMG with powerful support. She can provide healing and buffs while dealing DMG via assist attacks, allowing her to support allies without sacrificing her own offense. Her Papal States synergy increases her value in faction teams, but her damage and utility make her effective even outside of a dedicated Papal States lineup. Considering everything she has to offer, she is looking like the standout must pull character from the Papal States arc.

Antigone

Antigone is a unique Destroyer who specializes in Alert-based battlefield control. She can establish Alert zones that punish enemy movement while providing interruption (similar to SP Faycal), Stun, buffs and debuffs. She is most useful in stages where controlling enemy actions and positioning is important, although Alert-focused strategies have historically been less consistent than direct damage for general endgame content. She offers powerful control while but can be somewhat underwhelming outside of her Alert niche.

Recently Added Characters

Ulya

Ulya is a support character that generates [Item]s on the field which allies and herself can utilize. Amongst these items, she can generate Tundra Honeyfruits which heal allies, Frost Shards, which can picked up and thrown at enemies to DMG enemies among other things. Ulya can also summon a Snowman which generates these items on the ground.

SP Alexei

Like Alexei (Original), SP Alexei also utilizes AoE Counter attacks with the addition of solid single-target damage. While Alexei (Original) cannot make a true transformation into his bear form, SP Alexei can adopt a Bear form which grants different skills. Compared to other [Strike Back] units, SP Alexei has an extremely wide range and can counter from any angle, which is an upgrade vs. Alexei (Original).
