Acambe Pros and Strength
Premier Summoner
Shadow Assassin Abilities | Effects |
---|---|
Additional Investment (Reaction) | Performs an assisting attack when an ally attacks an enemy within 5 tiles around the character. Additionally applies a Level 2 Debuff. |
Vorpal Blade | Deals 100% AoE DMG to all enemies within 2 tiles and negates healing received for 2 turns. |
Acambe's signature is that he primarily deals damage through the use of his summoned Shadow Assassins. These assassins not only perform assist attacks, but can also use the AoE attack Vorpal Blade whenever Acambe uses his [Secret Signal] skill.
Shadow Assassin Features
Shadow Assassin Details | |
---|---|
1 | Has 20% of Acambe's HP and defense values, and 85% of Acambe's attack stats. |
2 | Unable to move or attack on their own. |
3 | When multiple guards attack the same enemy in one turn, damage dealt is reduced by 50% from the second attack onwards. |
4 | If there are no allies within one space of the enemy, they will not be targeted by enemy skills, but enemies can move through the guards. |
5 | Disappears after 2 turns. |
6 | If defeated instead of naturally disappearing, Acambe's [Shadow Assassin] skill cooldown is increased by 1. |
Even though damage is reduced by 50% for subsequent attacks on the same turn, Acambe can still deal a significant amount of single target damage. However, because some bosses have access to Act Again whenever they kill one of your units, be mindful when taking Acambe to boss trials.
Powerful Decision Skill
Squander Decisions | Effects |
---|---|
Greed Leads to Ruin | Instant skill which groups enemies and Shadow Assassins within 3 tiles together and inflicts movement and M.DEF reduction. |
Rich rewards | Restores 1 NRG to allies within 3 tiles of each other. Also grants ATK II, P.DEF II., M.DEF II, and summoned allies ATK IV. |
At Rank 3, Acambe can unlock [Squander], a decision skill that allows him to group enemies and Shadow Assassins, or restore NRG to allies. Typically, you'll be casting [Greed Leads to Ruin], but depending on the allies you brought, it may sometimes be better to use [Rich Rewards].
Skill Rotations
Basic Damage Rotation
Start by using [Shadow Assassin] once or twice before using [Greed Leads to Ruin]. From there, cast [Secret Signal] to devastate the enemy.
2-Turn AoE Burst
By combining Rank 7 [Burning Riches], [Greed Leads to Ruin], and [Secret Signal], Acambe can deal comparable damage to top-tier magic units like Beryl.
Increased NRG and Aura
Acambe has a maximum energy pool of 7-9 depending on his ★s. For every 3 NRG, Acambe increases his NRG regen by +1, maxing out at +3 NRG per turn once he reaches 5★. Additionally, Acambe also has access to a decent Aura which boosts summoned units by 20%, and buffs Discipline characters ATK and DEF by 10% and 20% respectively.
NRG Recovery and Positioning is Paramount
If conditions are right, Acambe can deal some of the best AoE damage in the game. However, NRG management and positioning is essential to pull this off. Remember to supplement Acambe's skills with equipment that and other characters that enable him to dish out his impressive damage.

Since NRG management is crucial for Acambe’s performance, he’s a high priority for star level upgrades—start with 3-stars and aim for 5-stars if possible.

![]() | ★★★★★ Useful for protecting Acambe using Summoned Units as decoys, from regular use to specific high-difficulty scenarios. However, be careful as Summoned Units as fodder reduces Acambe's offensive potential. |
![]() | ★★★★★ A recommended Basic Attack to increase Skill damage dealt. If equipped with Tarot The World, be aware that there are many situations where it's better to Standby than to use a Basic Attack. |

Skill | Build Priority and Details |
---|---|
![]() | ★★★ On stages where you want Summoned Units to participate in attacks, include it in your build instead of [Special Clauses]. |
![]() | ★★★ A powerful single-target high-damage Skill with high NRG consumption but no CD, featuring a very high multiplier and Armor Piercing effect. Due to Acambe's Trait, NRG is affordable, so include it in your build when focusing on single-target damage. |
![]() | ★★ A single-target attack Skill that can be used with no NRG consumption. It's viable to include in your build in stages where Summoned Units are at risk, but be aware that Acambe cannot reach his true potential in such stages. |

Recommended Weapons for Acambe

The [Fancy Hat] is recommended, since it allows Acambe to position himself in safe areas consistently.
Otherwise, you should equip Trinkets that greatly increases your stats and strengthens yourself and your Summoned Units, or even a Trinket for ally support.Recommended Tarots for Acambe

Recommended Engravings for Acambe
Resonance | Effect |
---|---|
![]() ![]() | Before actively attacking, for each 1 tile traversed, increases ATK and DEF by 4%, up to 12%. The effect lasts until the start of the next turn, |
![]() ![]() | When [unharmed], increases ATK and DEF by 12%. |
![]() ![]() | At the end of the turn, there is a 50% chance to gain [Engraving Resonance]. Effect: When using an [active skill] next time, refunds the NRG consumed and resets the CD. The skill effect has a CD of 4 turns. (Does not trigger in real-time combat. The effect changes to increasing HP, ATK and DEF by 5%) |
Since Acambe's Summoned Units inherit their stats from him, by boosting Acambe's stats, [Sword + Wand] and [Sword + Pentacle] are recommended. [Wand + Cup], which eliminates NRG and cooldown consumption, is also a great match for Acambe’s NRG-heavy playstyle.
