Nergal Pros and Strength

Best Hanged Men's Mark Debuffer

At RK 3, Nergal can unlock the skill [Mark Illumination]. This is an instant skill that applies The Hanged Men's Mark and Vulnerable II on up to 5 characters in a straight line. Compared to other characters who can apply The Hanged Men's Mark, Nergal shines as the best applicator of this debuff because of the range, the amount of targets hit, and the additional effect of Vulnerable II.

Powerful Block Tank

Most Defenders need to equip a passive skill or activate a buff before they can perform Blocks for nearby allies. Nergal's Block is ingrained as part of his Trait, meaning Nergal can perform Blocks without having to commit a skill slot. Additionally, every time Nergal performs a Block for an ally, he gains Life Steal buffs for his next attacks. This interaction makes Nergal skill slot efficient and also durable.

Shield and Swap

Nergal's [Fast Cover] at RK 1 allows Nergal to swap his position with an ally while granting both of characters a physical shield. This can be used to help allies retreat from danger or incoming AoE attacks. Note that the size of the shield depends on how high Nergal's P.ATK is, so if you want bigger shields, increase Nergal's P.ATK stat.

Tips!Consider Turn Order when deciding the best time to use [Fast Cover]. For example, an enemy is charging an AoE attack that will hit your allies. You can commit an attack with your DPS character before using [Fast Cover] to move Nergal and your attacker to safety.
