Balanced Team Build

Character	Role/Function
Maitha	Defender Obtained from the tutorial summon. A Defender you can get. She is characterized by her high durability and strong support capabilities, such as protecting allies and assisting with healing.
Rawiyah	Breaker This Role counters enemy Defenders. Since Defenders' innate durability can be troublesome, use Breakers to defeat them quickly.
Crimson Falcon	Seeker Obtained from the tutorial summon. A Seeker you can use to counter Breakers, which Maitha is weak against, use their maneuverability to position behind Breakers and kill them quickly.
Angel	Watcher A Role with characters who often excel in using Ranged attacks and/or healing. By countering Destroyers whose weaknesses you can exploit or supporting allies, having one in your party makes it easier to gain an advantage.
Beryl	Destroyer While Destroyers can't exploit weaknesses, they often excel at using Magic, AoE attacks, and debuffing enemies. Be mindful of the enemy's Watchers and wipe out clustered groups with powerful attacks.

This is a balanced party with one character from each Role. Try to position yourself to attack enemy weaknesses. We recommended checking the enemy's Roles before the battle starts to plan your formation and adjust your party's Role distribution.

Pro Tip!	Try to adjust your party according to the enemy characters, such as by reducing Seekers and adding more Breakers when there are numerous enemy Defenders!

Free-to-Play Team Build

Character	Role/Function
Maitha	Defender Maitha's role is to protect allies by drawing enemy attacks with [Guard] while also offering minor healing. Be wary of attacks from Breakers, who can exploit her weakness.
Stormbreaker	Breaker An attacker who performs AoE attacks when defeating enemies. Stormbreaker is recommended for beginners because she is unaffected by [Injured] and [Dying], allowing her to maintain attack power until the end of the battle. Replace Stormbreaker with the Rawiyah once you complete Voyage Memento V.
Crimson Falcon	Seeker Prioritize defeating the nearest Breakers before moving towards the backline Watchers. This allows Maitha to tank attacks from many enemies.
Angel	Watcher Angel's main role is to heal Maitha. If necessary, use Ranged attacks to defeat enemy Destroyers or utilize objects on the stage.
Abyss	Destroyer A character who weakens and hinders enemies by inflicting Sleep and debuffs. Abyss' passive Skill have an NRG recovery effect, making her a powerful support character who can use many Skills.

This is a free-to-play build where the only Legendary character is Maitha, who is obtained from the tutorial. If you have other powerful Legendary characters, swap them in for characters of the same Role to build your party.

Team Building Tips and Tricks

Basic Team Building

Recommended: 2 Attackers + 1 Healer

During the early stages of the game, it's recommended to have 2 damage-dealing attackers to chip away at enemy HP and 1 healer to increase ally survivability. For the remaining party slots, bring supports who enhance stats or debuff characters that can weaken enemies, specifically, characters who have buffs or utility skills that will be helpful for the current stage.

Pro Tip!	If your party is composed of characters who can self-heal, then consider replacing your dedicated Healer with a character who leans more towards applying buffs and debuffs!

Having a Support Character Improves Stability

While a party of just attackers and a healer can fight effectively, if you have extra party slots, including a support-type character who can apply buffs to allies can help with consistency. Try adding a support character with Traits or Skills that provide the buffs as needed.

Be Mindful of Role Matchups

A particularly important aspect of team building is being mindful of Role matchups. Especially in the early game, resources and materials for training characters tend to be scarce, so it's recommended to strengthen 1-2 characters of each Role rather than upgrading every character you have.

Utilize Stage Objects

If utilized properly, the traps and hazards in the stage can become a great help towards clearing it. Include characters with Ranged attacks to trigger them from a distance, knockback to push bombs towards enemies, or sturdy characters like Defenders to lure enemies and catch many in the effect.

Prepare Knockbacks or Ranged Attacks

In numerous stages, it's important to form a party with characters who can get fall kills with knockback Skills or utilize objects like explosive barrels. By instantly dispatching enemies or activating gimmicks without getting close, you can effectively maneuver the battlefield while minimizing damage to the entire party.
