Leveling Up is the Most Impactful
Leveling Up a character leaves the biggest impact on that character's performance. Not only do levels affect stats, but leveling up also allows a character to undergo "Upgrades" to unlock Skills. Therefore, once you've decided which character to enhance, prioritize Leveling Up first.
Enhancement Details
Level-ups Increase Base Stats

Characters can Level-up by obtaining a certain amount of experience points, which increases their stats. The maximum level cap is Lv.60, but your character levels can never exceed your Voyager Level, so clear various content to raise your Voyager Level, which also increases your character level cap.

How to Get Common Exp

Common Exp is commonly obtained as a reward for clearing stages, but you can gather large amounts by clearing “Level-up Training” in "Crossing Worlds".
Rank-ups Unlock New Skills

Rank-ups not only increases stats, but also, every odd Rank-up allows the character to unlock one of two Skills. Note that the required "Rank Medals" do not change based on the character's rarity, so you should generally prioritize enhancing higher rarity characters.
How to get Rank Medals

The “Rank Medals” required for Rank-ups can be obtained by selecting "Rank-up Trial" from "Crossing Worlds" and clearing the trial for the corresponding role. Medals can also be purchased from places like the Regular Shop, Insignia Shop, and Reputation Shop.
Skill Unlocking Details

Every odd-numbered Rank (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13) grants the character the ability to learn one of two skills, and the character will also gain specifiied stat increases which are associated with the unlocked skill. The skills you don't choose can be learned by consuming valuable "Castalia", so don't be afraid of losing out on a specific skill.
Rank-up Once Every 5 Levels
Characters can unlock new Ranks every 5 levels. Therefore, to raise a Legendary character to the maximum Rank of 12, you need to level them up Lv.60.
Star Level-ups Improve Traits

Star Level Ups increase character stats and more importantly, enhances the character's "Trait". Notably, when upgraded to the maximum 5-stars, the Trait is significantly enhanced, so for characters with powerful Traits, prioritize their Star Level Up.
How to Get Memory Shards

Star Level Ups require "Memory Shards", which can be obtained when you pull a duplicate of a character you already own,, or from "Memory Retrieval" in "Crossing Worlds", which can be cleared once a day.
Unlocks Ascended Skin at 5-stars

By reaching 5-stars, Legendary characters can unlock their "Ascended Skin". Note that this skin does mpt directly affect the character's performance.
Bond Levels Grant Stat Bonuses

You can gain stat bonuses by increasing a character's Bond Level. In addition to stat bonuses, there are various other benefits, such as obtaining character-exclusive icons, so remember to raise Bond Levels often.

You can reach to the Bonds screen by tapping the bond icon in the upper right of the character screen or by pressing the Bond button on the home screen. The Bond function itself is unlocked by clearing The Fool's Journey 1-18.
Other Enhancements
Increase Stats with Gear

Although Gear does not directly enhance the character, by equipping and enhancing Gear, character performances are also enhanced.
How to Obtain and Upgrade Gears
Permanent Enhancements with Talent

Enhancing "Talents" permanently enhances characters of a specific Role. Additionally, each talent tree includes nodes that, when unlocked, affect all characters.
Equip More Powerful Skills

Each character has 1 slot for Basic Attacks, 1 slot for Reaction skills, and 3 slots shared by passive and active skills. Once you have Ranked-up a character and learned many skills, replace equipped skills with more powerful skills according to the content.
