What Is the Entangled Power Cell in Subnautica 2?

Subnautica 2 An Entangled Power Cell Fragment

The Entangled Power Cell is an upgraded version of the Power Cell. In the current build, it’s more of a luxury than a necessity, since the game can be completed using only regular Power Cells. Still, if you’re planning longer or deeper expeditions, the extra charge makes exploration noticeably more convenient.

How to Unlock the Blueprint

Location NE of the Karakorum Power Plant
Coordinates: -159089, 427806 | Depth: 305m

The blueprint can be unlocked after scanning one Entangled Power Cell fragment. Both fragment pieces sit at the same location, an elevated platform northeast of the Karakorum Power Plant.

From the Alien Ruins, head east toward the Power Plant area. Descend beneath the main alien structure line, and you'll find the small site is in a lit pocket below. Follow the light coming from underneath until you reach the platform.

Tip! You need the Tadpole Depth Module Mk. 1 installed before heading here. The platform sits at 305 meters, which is below the Tadpole's default crush depth.

How to Use the Entangled Power Cell

Subnautica 2 Removing Old Power Cell in a Tadpole

The Entangled Power Cell slots directly into your vehicle in place of the standard Power Cell. Swim to the top of the Tadpole, remove the Power Cell and replace it with an Entangled Power Cell. Once installed, it works exactly like a regular Power Cell, just with significantly more charge before it needs replacing.

Tip! Depleted Entangled Power Cells can be recharged at a Power Cell Terminal or a Tadpole Dock, once you park your submersible inside your base.
