How to Get Copper

Get Copper by Exploring Caves

Subnautica 2 Copper

Copper is a common resource found almost anywhere. Unlike Titanium, which is often found on the sea floor, Copper is usually found on cave walls and ceilings.

Some Copper Deposits Regenerate

In Subnautica 2, some Copper deposits respawn over time. However, this does not apply to every location. Certain nodes are finite, while some cave systems contain deposits that eventually regenerate.

Needs Sonic Resonator for Large Veins

Subnautica 2 Sonic Resonator

Large Copper Veins require the Sonic Resonator to break apart. Since Copper is heavily used throughout the game, you'll eventually need to farm it from multiple locations.

Copper Locations

Earliest Copper Location

Coordinates-334619, 433207, -2303
LocationFound in a cave under the coral formation directly in front of the Lifepod.

For an easy early-game farming spot, dive directly below the Lifepod. You'll find a small cave filled with Copper deposits along the rocky walls.

Tip!Copper deposits have a distinct brownish-orange crystalline appearance, making them easier to distinguish from Silver and Titanium.

Large Vein Cluster

Coordinates-366867, 438158, -3885
LocationApproximately 300m West of the Lifepod.

Once you have a Sonic Resonator, you can visit this location next to the Spider Dome POI. These veins are found along the outer wall of the map, but still within the boundary so you don't have to worry about the Shiver Leviathan.
