How to Get a Portable Locker in Subnautica 2

Several Portable Lockers can be found for free scattered in the shallows surrounding the Lifepod. This will serve as your portable storage early on.

Once you have the Habitat Builder, you can also craft your own. Portable lockers can also be attached to Tadpoles and Wall Racks.

How to Use the Portable Locker

You can carry a Portable Locker with you as you swim as long as your hands are free. It acts as a small extension of your inventory, perfect for holding materials during resource-gathering trips.

When you return to base, you can drop it on the floor or hang it on wall racks. However, the best use for Portable Lockers is attaching them to your Tadpoles. The Standard and Scout Ray Chassis can each carry one Portable Locker, while the Haul Chassis can carry two, giving you a total of an extra 30 inventory slots.
