How to Get the Growbed in Subnautica 2

Subnautica 2 Growbeds in Research Outpost

The Growbed blueprint requires scanning two fragments, both found at the Alien Ruins Research Outpost, located 1,275m east of the Lifepod. Both fragments are right next to each other, so a single visit is all you need.

1. Build a Growbed
Open the Cultivation tab in the build menu and select the Growbed. It costs x1 Titanium and can be placed on the roof of your base.

2. Place a Growbed
Select a spot anywhere on your base’s roof and construct a growbed. You can enable snapping to line up your growbeds cleanly.

3. Select a Plant
Open the Cultivation tab through the Habitat Builder. Any plant you have already scanned will appear here. Select the one you want to grow.

4. Plant It on the Growbed
Place the plant into an empty slot on the Growbed. Multiple plants can go on a single Growbed.

5. Wait for it to Grow and Harvest
Wait for the plants to fully grow and harvest them for materials. The same plant can be harvested repeatedly, making farming one of the best ways to get resources in the game.

Plant Why It Is Worth Growing
Acid Raion Produces Acidic Raion Pouches and Medical Gel Sacs, used for Batteries and First Aid Kits.
Cradle Shootroot Grows Lucifer Rotsacs, which are required for Rubber and Grease. The plant itself can also be cut for Fibrous Pulp, which you can then use to craft Fiber or Biofuel Blocks.
Macaron SpongeA good option for harvesting a large amount of Fibrous Pulp.
Tip!Avoid planting the Mimic Pylon. This plant is purely cosmetic. It cannot be harvested and will shock you if you pass through it.
