How to Use Basic Fins

Subnautica 2 Basic Fins

Equip the Basic Fins to increase your swimming speed. They are one of the first upgrades worth crafting. Faster swimming means more time exploring, which is especially useful before you have access to the submersible vehicle, Tadpole.

Tip! Basic Fins can later be upgraded to Improved Fins at the Fabricator using x1 Basic Fins, x1 Fiber Mesh, and x1 Conduit Crystal for an even greater speed boost.
