What Are Conduit Crystals in Subnautica 2?

Subnautica 2 A Conduit Crystal

Conduit Crystals are a rare late-game resource required for several high-tier crafting recipes. They are one of the hardest materials to collect in the current Early Access build. Unlike most resources, there is no single location where you can farm them in bulk. You will need to search a large area and collect them one by one.

Where to Find Conduit Crystals

Subnautica 2 An Angel Comb

Conduit Crystals are found in the second main area of the game, past the Alien Ruins, roughly 1,800m or more east of the Lifepod. Conduit Crystals commonly appear near the roots of the Angel Combs.

The best spots to check are:

  • Around the Angel Comb in the region past the Alien Ruins. Activating the Angel Comb can cause 4 to 5 Conduit Crystals to spawn nearby. This is the surest cluster you will find.
  • On the seafloor at depths of 300m and below. Head east from the Alien Ruins and search the ground thoroughly.
  • On rock walls and edges. Conduit Crystals can spawn on vertical surfaces and behind rock structures. They are easy to miss if you are only looking at the floor.

How to Farm Conduit Crystals

Subnautica 2 Scanning a Conduit Crystal

Use the Sonic Resonator to destroy Conduit Crystal nodes. Each node yields between 1 and 4 crystals.

The most efficient approach is to collect Conduit Crystals while doing quests in the late-game area rather than making dedicated farming trips. The region is far from the Lifepod, so combining crystal hunting with exploration saves a lot of travel time.

When you commit to a dedicated farming run, bring extra water, food, and batteries. You will need a lot of time to comb through the area.

What Are Conduit Crystals Used For?
