What is the World Tree?
Iconic Structure
The World Tree is a gigantic structure towering above the ocean in the distance. Its massive appearance immediately establishes it as one of the most important landmarks on the planet.
The World Tree is Shown at Beginning
The World Tree can already be seen briefly during the opening sequence of Subnautica 2. The scene hints that the massive organism is important to the planet’s ecosystem and overall story.
Under Development

The World Tree area is still under active development during Early Access. Players are advised by the developers to proceed with caution while exploring the area.
Hints of a Titan-Class Organism
Some scenes also imply the structure may not actually be a normal plant, but a massive living organism unlike anything previously seen in the Subnautica series.
