The World Tree area is still under active development during Early Access. Players are advised by the developers to proceed with caution while exploring the area.
Hints of a Titan-Class Organism
Some scenes from the official trailer also suggest that the World Tree is a massive living organism unlike anything previously seen in the Subnautica series. How this affects the Axum, the local inhabitants, and the cause of their extinction is something we’ve yet to discover.
