How to Heal / Recover HP

There is No Natural Healing

Unlike in other games where health may recover on its own, HP can only be regained through the use of items in Subnautica 2. The only other way is to die so you can respawn with full health again.

Use First Aid Kits to Heal

Item	Description
Basic First Aid Kit	Gives +50HP Recipe: - Fiber x 1
Enhanced First Aid Kit	Gives +70HP Recipe: - Fiber x 1 - Medical Gel Sac x 1

First Aid Kits are available to be crafted through the Fabricator at the start of the game. The Enhanced First Aid Kit can be unlocked later and provides higher healing than the Basic First Aid Kit.

Medical Gel Sacs can Also Heal

Medical Gel Sacs is the only other source of healing currently in the game. However, since it provides less healing than a Basic First Aid Kit, it's best to save it to make Enhanced First Aid Kits.

Tips!	Cut off the Acidic Raion Pouches first, then you can pick up the Medical Gel Sac easily without triggering the acid.

Tips to Heal

Add Healing Item on Toolbar

For quick heals, it's best to place one of your healing items on the Toolbar. When facing a hostile creature, this will allow you to heal without opening your inventory.

Heal Safely in Your Vehicle

It's usually not the best idea to heal out in the open when a creature is in pursuit of you. Make a break to a nearby structure or to your Tadpole to be able to safely heal.
