Tablet Runecraft Deck - How to Play

Place Tablets to Gather Combo Pieces

Compress your deck from the early turns by placing Tablets and use Engage each turn to draw and gather the pieces needed for your combo. The goal is to draw Anne & Grea, Mysterian Duo, Barzent, Dimension Climb, and Ruler of Cocytus by Turn 5, and Ruler of Cocytus by Turn 10 by those turns.

Clear the Field While Gathering Pieces

From the midgame onward, keep drawing and advancing your Spellboost while clearing your opponent's field.

Maintain High Defense with Restore

If your defense gets low, use Sagelight Teachings or Gilnelise, Voracity Manifest to restore your defense.

Be Careful Managing Earth Sigils

When you play Earth Sigils on the field, it can get very crowded together with Tablets and Onion Patch, so it's recommended to only play as many as you need when you expect to play Norman, Adamant Alchemist or Arcane Eruption.

Play Ruler of Cocytus and Aim for OTK with Dimension Climb

After playing Ruler of Cocytus, if your hand is low and the cost of Dimension Climb is 0, play Dimension Climb to aim for lethal. Always keep at least one Super-Evolution to deal with @@@Astaroth's Monkey@@@.

Lock the Field for a Turn with Snowman Army

Due to the nature of the deck, you often have a large hand, so after playing Ruler of Cocytus, if you can survive for one turn, locking the field with a 0-cost Snowman Army is also strong.

After Playing Ruler of Cocytus, Use Tablets to Securely Draw Astaroth's Reckoning

If you don't play Dimension Climb immediately after Ruler of Cocytus, on the next turn, place a Tablet to compress your Apocalypse Deck, then use Dimension Climb to guarantee drawing Astaroth's Reckoning with Engage included. Be careful not to reduce your hand too much and run out of cards in your deck.
