Discard Dragoncraft Deck - How to Play
Play Attackers and Boost Your Play Points Early On

In the first few turns, play cheap attackers to keep control of the field while using Dragonsign to magically gain extra Play Points. Try to keep flooding your side of the field with allies so you can constantly attack the enemy leader's health.
Use Fan of Otohime for Instant Attacks Every Turn

If you happen to draw Fan of Otohime early on, make sure to play it right away. 'Engage' this amulet when you don't have any cards that boost your Play Points, or when the enemy's side of the field is empty, giving you free attackers to constantly harass the enemy leader.
Win the Game with Relentless Instant Attacks

Once you have plenty of Play Points to spend, quickly overwhelm the enemy leader using heavy-hitters with 'Storm' like Forte, Blackwing Dragoon and Sagatsumatsu, Fair Beheader. Because you boosted your maximum Play Points earlier, you will have plenty of leftover points to combo with cards like Spilling Red, Sloth of the Crestpetal, or the cheap 2-cost Advent of the Eld Blades. This lets you completely wipe out the enemy army or deal massive bonus damage!
Throw Away Vorlalai and Advent of the Eld Blades for Massive Benefits

When you use cards that force you to throw away cards from your hand like Sagatsumatsu or Fan of Otohime, you can actually trigger the hidden abilities of Vorlalai, Depths of the Eld Blades, and Advent of the Eld Blades simply by discarding them! The true power of this deck is turning the downside of losing your cards into an incredible advantage.
The Ultimate Combo: Discard Vorlalai using Sagatsumatsu, Then Super-Evolve!
One of your absolute best moves is throwing away Vorlalai using Sagatsumatsu's play effect, which summons Vorlalai onto the field so you can immediately Super-Evolve her! If you also discard the "Depths of the Eld Blades" spell that you got from Spilling Red, you can wipe out three enemy attackers and blast the opponent for a massive 8 damage all at once.
Mulligan Guide for the Discard Dragoncraft
Keep Cards That Boost Play Points and Early Attackers
When picking your starting hand, hold onto Jellyfish Dancer, Resolute Dragonewt, and any cards that magically boost your Play Points so you are ready to go in the first few turns. Gaining extra Play Points early on gives you a massive advantage, letting you unleash huge attacks and overwhelm your opponent right from the start.
Pair Your Early Cards with Powerful "Crest" Cards
| Keep These Alongside Play Point Boosters or Early Attackers | |
|---|---|
Yube, Crestpetal | Galmieux, Ardor Manifest |
If your opening hand already has cheap attackers or cards that boost your Play Points, you should also keep Yube or Galmieux. You'd want to get their Crests active as quickly as possible, because they constantly wipe out enemy attackers turn after turn while filling your hand with fresh cards!
How to Counter the Discard Dragoncraft
Keep Flooding the Board with Followers

They often rely on Filene's Whitefrost Whisper spell, Galmieux's Fangs of Ardent Destruction, or the instant attacks from Majestic Megalorcas to wipe out a massive army of attackers. By forcing them to use these defensive cards early, your opponent won't have any answers left for the massive monsters you play later in the game. Keep putting out multiple attackers at once to drain their Evolution Points and destruction spells!
Play Followers That Are Tough for Megalorcas to Defeat

When your opponent tries to destroy your attackers, they will usually rely on "Rush" attacks from their Majestic Megalorcas. If you make sure the followers on your side of the field have at least 3 health, the opponent will be forced to crash two separate Megalorcas into a single target just to destroy it. This makes it incredibly easy for you to keep your own army alive while wiping theirs out.
Watch Out for 4 Health After Yube's Crest Activates

Once Yube's Crest is active, all of those Majestic Megalorcas get boosted to 3 Attack. When this happens, playing followers with 4 or more health is the best way to safely survive their attacks and keep your army strong.
Block "Storm" Attacks by Having Multiple Allies

Discard Dragoncraft loves to sneak in damage against your leader using "Storm" attackers, so constantly flooding the field is a fantastic way to protect yourself. Keeping plenty of allies in play acts as a natural shield to reduce the damage you take. Plus, if your opponent ignores them to attack you directly, your surviving army can easily strike back and win the game on your next turn!
