Detail
- Takes control of the match using Camiscilla, Unfeeling Heart and Unfeeling Eld Axe to stay ahead while quickly stacking up your evolution count.
- Doubles your firepower by using Yog-Zentha, Eld Axe to create a perfect clone of your strongest followers, like Camiscilla or Sandalphon, Primarch Successor.
- Cheaper "Accelerate" cost cards aren't very strong, so the deck can feel a bit unbalanced.
Best Decks & Tier List

A Deck That Stays One Step Ahead

Evolution Camiscilla Portalcraft is a deck famous for making strong plays that keep you in the lead by using Camiscilla and the Unfeeling Eld Axe in the middle of the match. It is very easy to increase your total number of evolutions, allowing you to unleash the power of Sandalphon, Primarch Successor, much earlier than usual.

Evo Portalcraft Deck - How to Play

Play Cheap Attackers in the Early Game

Best Cards for the First Few Turns

Cheap Attackers
Lovestruck Puppeteer- A cheap attacker you will want to play immediately in the first few turns
- Use her free "Puppetry" spells to easily destroy enemy attackers
- It is also a great idea to save those spells and combine them with Zwei later on!
Keeping Your Hand Full
Eudie, Maiden Reborn- Can be played onto the field without shrinking your hand size at all
- You can Evolve her to heal your leader or draw even more fresh cards
Key Combo Pieces
Yog-Zentha, Eld Axe- The perfect card for grabbing the powerful "Depths of the Eld Axe" spell from your deck
- If an ally you played using an "Accelerate" ability is still alive on the field, you can grab Depths of the Eld Axe much earlier!
Accelerate Cards to Play Before Yog-Zentha
Shoddy Plaything- Using its cheap "Accelerate" ability early on perfectly sets up Yog-Zentha's effect
- Because it is quite weak for its size, you will almost never want to pay its full 6 Play Point cost
Substandard Puppet- Another great card to play early using "Accelerate" to set up your Yog-Zentha combo
- Incredibly strong whether you play it cheaply or pay its full 5 Play Points

In the early game, start putting your attackers on the field and try to win fights against the enemy's cards. Using your free "Puppetry" spells to take down enemies is perfect for stopping opponents who try to swarm you with a massive army. If you play an 'Accelerate' card and it manages to survive until your next turn, you can drop Yog-Zentha much earlier than usual!

Grow Your Army and Boost Your Evolution Count in the Midgame

Best Cards for the Middle Turns

Growing Your Army
Zwei, Symphonic Heart- An incredible card that instantly builds a massive army
- Gives you extra "Puppetry" spells to make your side of the field even tougher to wipe out
- Can also be used defensively to completely wipe out the enemy's attackers
Myriad Designs- Magically lets you play "Unfeeling Eld Axe" completely for free
- The 'Ludicrous Ordnance' it gives you is fantastic at destroying huge enemy threats
Cards That Wipe Out Enemies While Boosting Evolutions
Substandard Puppet- Wipes out enemies while magically boosting your total Evolution count by 2
- Puts huge pressure on the opponent if you are already winning the fight for the field
Gran & Djeeta, Valiant Skyfarers- Helps charge up your "Skybound Art" attacks to push your Evolution count even higher
- Also works wonderfully for drawing fresh cards or wiping out enemy defenders
Unfeeling Eld Axe- Takes out random enemy attackers while giving you free Evolution points
- You will definitely want to play this completely for free by combining it with Myriad Designs or Camiscilla

During the middle turns, filling the board using Zwei or Substandard Puppet is a fantastic way to overwhelm your opponent, forcing them to spend all their cards just trying to survive. As you keep boosting your Evolution count, you are perfectly setting the stage for a massive finishing attack with Sandalphon. Make sure you also use Yog-Zentha to grab "Depths of the Eld Axe" so you are fully prepared for the final turns.

Strike the Final Blow with Sandalphon in the Late Game

Best Cards for the Final Turns

Build a Huge Army While Boosting Evolutions
Camiscilla, Unfeeling Heart- Her Super-Evolution blasts the opponent's health while summoning a massive army of your own
- Becomes incredibly dangerous if you copy her using Depths of the Eld Axe
- Playing her discounted 4-cost version alongside an "Accelerate" follower makes your Evolution count and damage output skyrocket!
Depths of the Eld Axe- A fantastic spell that you can easily grab from your deck using Yog-Zentha
- Use it on Zwei or Camiscilla to magically replay your strongest cards for a much cheaper cost
Finishing the Game
Sandalphon, Primarch Successor- Your ultimate winning card that can blast the enemy for up to 10 damage at once
- Wiping out the enemy army with a 4-cost Camiscilla right before dropping Sandalphon is an almost unstoppable combo
- If you run out of Evolution Points, teaming him up with Gran & Djeeta makes it much easier to strike the final blow
Searching for Camiscilla
Lyria, Skydestined- If you pay her full 8 Play Point "Enhance" cost, she will perfectly hunt down Camiscilla from your deck and hand her right to you
- Depending on how you built your deck, she can also find other massive threats like Orchis or Beelzebub
Wiping the Board and Extra Damage
Chaos Legion- A spell that damages all enemies at once, perfect for wiping out massive armies that your followers can't fight alone
- Easily wipes the board clean if your opponent swarms you with tough 3/3 followers like Springbloom Fairy
- In the final turns of the game, its extra damage can even strike the winning blow!

As the game reaches its final turns, your main goal is to win using Sandalphon. Playing Camiscilla on turn 7 gives you a huge burst of free Evolutions, paving the perfect path for Sandalphon to finish them off. If you manage to play Camiscilla twice using Depths of the Eld Axe, you can easily strike the final blow while surrounded by an unstoppable army.

Mulligan Guide for the Evo Portalcraft

Keep Lovestruck Puppeteer and Zwei

Keep the Puppetry-creating Lovestruck Puppeteer and Zwei by themselves. Keeping Lovestruck Puppeteer makes your early game smoother, and Zwei is a powerful card that supports your field in the midgame, so we recommend keeping either of them individually.

Keep Eudie and Gran & Djeeta Together

If you already have low-cost followers, keep Eudie or Gran & Djeeta along with them. Both are cards that are useful for generating resources that help replenish your hand, so we recommend keeping them together with a card you can play in the early game.

Keep Substandard Puppet Instead of Zwei

When you don't have Zwei, keep Substandard Puppet as an alternative play for 5 Play Points. Substandard Puppet can remove two enemy followers while adding two to your evolution count. It provides strong removal that's nearly on par with Zwei's and helps you bridge into a late-game Sandalphon.

Keep Camiscilla with Early to Midgame Cards

Only if you already have three cards that are playable in the early to midgame should you keep Camiscilla. It guarantees a powerful play on turn 7 or later, and having it in your hand beforehand allows you to play it on an earlier turn than if you were to search for it with Lyria.

How to Counter the Evo Portalcraft

Destroy High-Cost Puppets

Shoddy Plaything and Substandard Puppet count as costing 5 play points, even if the opponent used Accelerate to play them for cheap. The opponent needs these on the table to activate their strongest abilities. Destroy any follower that originally costs 5 or more right away to stop their combos.

Be Ready for Zwei

When Zwei Evolves on turn 5, she creates a very strong wall of followers, including two "Ward" followers. This is a critical moment in the match, so you need to save specific cards in your hand that can destroy this wall immediately.

Counter Imari's Swarm

Imari fills the table with many small "Imari's Imps." If you save a card like Salefa, who deals damage to everyone when Evolved, so you can wipe out all the Imps at once while destroying Imari effortlessly.

Make Beelzebub Awkward to Play

Beelzebub is scary because he destroys 3 of your followers and permanently boosts the opponent's damage. Once they reach 9 play points, try to keep 4 or more followers on your side. This makes it hard for them to play Beelzebub because he can't clear your whole team.

Check Their Super Move Timer

Their Super Skybound Art only works if the current Turn Number plus their total Evolution Count equals 15 or more. If the total is 14 or less, you don't need to worry about Chaos Legion or Sandalphon's ultimate attacks yet.

Block Sandalphon with a Crowd

Sandalphon shoots 2 damage 5 times at random targets. You can protect your leader by having more followers on the table to take the hits. Check the math, and if their move is ready, fill the table with followers to act as shields.
