Budget Mid-range Abysscraft

Budget Mid‑Range Abysscraft is a low‑cost, free‑to‑play deck that builds a resilient board through the early and midgame and converts that advantage into late‑game finishes with Odin, Twilit Fate or Cerberus, Hellfire Unleashed.

Free-to-Play Abysscraft Deck - How to Play

Build Board Presence and Pressure the Leader in the Early Game

Play low‑cost followers to contest the board and chip away at the enemy leader’s defense.

Ghastly Soiree Secures Turns 2–3 With One Card

Ghastly Soiree generates a Rotting Zombie token, letting you lock in plays for turns 2 and 3. That token helps you keep followers on board and continue to get opportunities to attack the enemy leader.

Use Rush and Removal to Gain Tempo

Cards like Vuella, the Blastwing and Baal, Elemental Resonance remove opposing threats while establishing your own board. The idea is to turn small trades into a lasting advantage.

Apply pressure with Undead Soldier and Vaseraga

Use Undead Soldier and Vaseraga, Unyielding Scythe to maintain constant pressure. If your followers survive, you can chip away at the opponent’s defense each turn. Furthermore, pairing this with Cerberus’s attack buff amplifies your damage output

Force Awkward Plays With Rulenye and Congregant

Take control of the board by using Rulenye & Valnareik's fanfare which lets you add Scream Diffusion or Super‑Evolve Congregant of Entwining. These plays often force opponents into bad decisions out of fear of a follow‑up Cerberus on later turns.

Finish with Cerberus or Storm followers

In the late game, capitalize on the damage you've dealt from pressuring the field, and deal massive damage with finishers like Odin and Cerberus to close the game.

Use Ghosts with Cerberus

Add Ghost tokens via Ghastly Soiree or play Shadowcrypt Memorial ahead of time to fuel Cerberus and deal massive burst damage when you need to finish the game

Mulligan Guide for the Free-to-Play Abysscraft

Keep Low-Cost Cards to Play in the Early Game

Keep low-cost followers that let you contest the board and preserve tempo, such as Devious Lesser Mummy, Ghastly Soiree, Vuella, the Blastwing, Devotee of Entwining, and Baal, Elemental Resonance.

When Going 2nd, Also Keep Supplicant of Entwining

Supplicant of Entwining is a strong keep on the draw thanks to its Mode options that allow you to either restore defense or clear enemy followers. When evolved, it can hit up to three targets, letting you reclaim the board from the player who went first

Keep Finishers Along with Early-Game Cards

If your opening hand can already handle the first few turns, hold finishers like Cerberus, Hellfire Unleashed, Odin, Twilit Fate, or Rulenye & Valnareik. This deck has few copies of big finishers, so keeping one improves your chances of closing the game

Keep Lyria for Utility

Keep Lyria, as she can fetch a finisher and also serve as an early-game play. If you have no other cards to play in the early game, play her for 2 cost.
