Budget Crest Havencraft
This is a low‑cost deck built around Marwynn, Despair Manifest’s Crest. It plays a slow, resilient game using plentiful removal and Restore effects to stay alive while steadily chipping away at the opponent with burn damage.
Free-to-Play Havencraft Deck - How to Play
Draw Cards and Set Up Crests Early

In the early game, use Serene Sanctuary and Ruby, Greedy Cherub to draw cards and look for Grimnir, Heavenly Gale or Marwynn, Despair Manifest. Play Grimnir, Heavenly Gale or Supplicant to start building Crests, and drop Amulets to stay alive.
Play Grimnir Early If You Have Him

Because Crest effects trigger in the order they were granted, you's ideally want Grimnir’s Crest to activate before Marwynn’s since it will let you deal damage more efficiently.
Don’t Force Grimnir If He Isn’t in Your Hand
Marwynn’s Crest is more important in the long run, so don’t worry about playing or forcing to draw Grimnir first if you don’t have him.
Evolve Marwynn, Despair Manifest to Grant a Crest

Since Marwynn’s Crest dictates your win condition, you should evolve Marwynn, Despair Manifest as soon as possible.
Use Torrent of Despair to Remove Hard-to-Deal-With Followers

Torrent of Despair is excellent for removing Intimidate, Aura, or Last Words followers thanks to its Banish ability. Make sure to remove weaker followers first, so the Banish is more likely to hit the target you want gone
Also Useful for Increasing Crest Count
You'd want this deck to maintain a high number of Crests. If you don’t have a card ready to grant the next expiring Crest, use Torrent of Despair to keep your Crest count high.
Play Congregant of Repose First When You Can’t Clear the Board

If Marwynn alone can’t clear the opponent’s board, play Congregant of Repose first. Leaving their board up means taking huge damage and losing before your Crests can stabilize the game.
Evolve Congregant If You Still Don’t Have Marwynn
Congregant’s Crest can fetch Marwynn or another Repose follower, so if you’re missing Marwynn, evolve Congregant to help draw him.
Clear the Board with Blinding Faith or Dose of Holiness

When your opponent develops their board, clean it up with Blinding Faith or Dose of Holiness. Reducing early damage is crucial for surviving into the mid‑game.
Restore Defense with Amulets If You Take Damage

If your defense drops, heal back up with Luminous Censer or Temple of Repose. Keeping your defense high prevents sudden losses.
Use Shining Disenchantment When You Take a Hit

Shining Disenchantment can restore defense or clear the board. Try not to use it early since it’s also a finisher, but don’t hesitate if you’re falling behind.
Grant Crests While Controlling the Board

Keep granting Crests and control the board with removal tools like Marwynn’s effect and Unholy Vessel. This deck's win condition is to clear the opponent's field and slowly chip away at the enemy leader using Marwynn's Crest.
Crest Countdowns Don’t Reset
Granting a Crest you already have won’t reset its Countdown, and continues from its remaining value. Since you'd want to have many Crests active, what you need to do is hold onto the followers with a crest you already have and play them only until the active crest expires.
Use Blinding Faith to Refill Resources

When you need healing or can’t find the cards you want, cast Blinding Faith for 8 play points. So, reduce your hand size first so you don’t overdraw from the 3 cards it will give you.
Finish the Game with Multiple Shining Disenchantments

Play multiple Shining Disenchantments and activate them all together after clearing the board to finish the game in combination with Marwynn's Crest effect.
Mulligan Guide for the Free-to-Play Havencraft
Keeping Serene Sanctuary, Grimnir, Marwynn, and Congregant of Repose
Keep Marwynn, Despair Manifest as your top priority in the opening hand since this card is the key to the deck’s primary win condition. You also need to keep Serene Sanctuary and Congregant of Repose; both cards will help you cycle and set up the Marwynn turn.
Keep Grimnir as the Only Exception
Only keep Grimnir, Heavenly Gale when it enables a stronger sequence. By playing Grimnir first, the Crest activation order on the Super‑Evolve turn becomes Grimnir → Marwynn, preventing Marwynn’s damage from being wasted.
Blinding Faith for Opponents with a Strong Early Game

Against classes that flood the board early such as Swordcraft decks, keep Blinding Faith or Salefa, Guardian of Water to remove early threats and buy time for your midgame plan.

Against very aggressive decks like Swordcraft, keep these cards if you already have Grimnir and Marwynn in hand.
