Buff the Wards, Build the Wall

Ward Havencraft is a deck that buffs Wards to create a powerful field using the Crest from Wilbert, Desolate Paladin. With most of its cards being Ward Followers, the deck offers a tanky and strong board presence throughout the match.

Ward & Crest Havencraft Deck - How to Play

Early Game Setup for Ward Haven

Ward Havencraft reaches full power once Wilbert, Desolate Paladin is in play. In the early turns, focus on developing low‑cost followers and amulets to stabilize the board and prepare your hand.

Play Wilbert, Desolate Paladin

Evolving Wilbert, Desolate Paladin grants a Crest that boosts the stats of every Ward follower you summon. To get the best out of this card, set up support amulets like Pact of the Beast Princess or Dose of Holiness beforehand.

Develop a Ward field

After establishing Wilbert, Desolate Paladin, follow up with Aether, Empyrean Guardian to flood the board with high‑stat Wards. By Super‑Evolving Aether, your Wards gain +1/+4 alongside Wilbert’s Crest, and she gains Aura, creating an almost unbreakable frontline.

Jeanne and Olivia as Ward Amplifier

Buffed Ward followers tend to survive on board, so capitalize by reinforcing them with Olivia, Heroic Dark Angel or Jeanne, Saintly Knight. This keeps your frontline durable while turning it into a reliable source of pressure.

Turning the Field into a Fortress

By steadily adding followers, you push the opponent past their limit to clear the board. Time your plays with Pact of the Beast Princess breaking, or let Jeanne rally your army with her buffs, and your field becomes a fortress.

Mulligan Guide for the Ward & Crest Havencraft

Keep Core Crest Cards

Wilbert, Desolate Paladin powers your Wards, Marwynn, Despair Manifest can stall, Grimnir, Heavenly Gale spikes on your evo turn, and Congregant of Repose can fetch you some key pieces. They’re all worth keeping, but Grimnir and Wilbert should always take priority.

Keep Strong Early-Game Cards

:Serene Sanctuary and Pact of the Beast Princess are reliable openers that fit into any matchup, so they’re safe keeps.

Keep Blinding Faith to Counter Aggro

Keep Blinding Faith as a deterrent for Swordcraft, Abysscraft, or Portalcraft decks since it shuts down their early rush.
