Buff the Wards, Build the Wall

Ward Havencraft is a deck that buffs Wards to create a powerful field using the Crest from Wilbert, Desolate Paladin. With most of its cards being Ward Followers, the deck offers a tanky and strong board presence throughout the match.

Ward & Crest Havencraft Deck - How to Play

Stall for Time While Preparing in the Early Game

Ward Havencraft shows its true potential after playing Wilbert, Desolate Paladin. Therefore, in the early game, you should develop low-cost followers and amulets to set up your hand and field.

Strengthen Your Field with Sofina

You can evolve and strengthen a Ward follower played on turns 2-3 with Sofina. Not only does this reinforce your early game field, but it's also powerful because it fills the Skybound Art gauge for cards in your hand.

Play Wilbert, Desolate Paladin

By playing and evolving Wilbert, Desolate Paladin, the stats of Ward followers that enter the field are buffed by the Crest. To make it easier to play him, it's a good idea to have cards like Pact of the Beast Princess or Dose of Holiness on the field.

Further Strengthen Your Field

Strengthened Ward followers tend to stick to the field. Use any that remain to further strengthen your field with Olivia, Heroic Dark Angel and Jeanne, Saintly Knight and go on the offensive.

Corner Your Opponent with Vira

Vira is a powerful follower that can lead to victory on her own if the opponent can't deal with her. By playing Vira with her Super Skybound Art charged when your opponent has run out of evolution , she becomes difficult to remove and is likely to stay on the field.

Finish with Sandalphon

If you can't secure the win with the followers on your field, aim for lethal with Sandalphon. Since the addition of Sofina, Inspiring Strength makes it easier to charge your Skybound Art guage , it's possible to achieve lethal on an earlier turn than before.

Mulligan Guide for the Ward & Crest Havencraft

Keep Core Crest Cards

Wilbert, Desolate Paladin who strengthens Ward, Marwynn, Despair Manifest who is optimal for stalling on idle turns, Grimnir, Heavenly Gale who assists on your Super-Evolution turn, and Congregant of Repose who can search for key cards like Aether, Empyrean Guardian and Marwynn, Despair Manifest are all cards to keep individually. If you're keeping multiple cards, Grimnir, Heavenly Gale and Wilbert, Desolate Paladin are guaranteed keeps.

Also Keep Strong Early-Game Cards

These two cards, like the ones above, can be kept on their own in any matchup.
