What Is The Dauntless Mastery System?
Challenge & Progression System Filled With Rewards
The Mastery System in Dauntless is a challenge-filled progression system that provides Slayers with rewards and access to better weapons & armor. It is the game progression that every Slayer should aspire to complete.
Types Of Masteries In Dauntless
| Mastery | Description |
|---|---|
| Slayer Level | Overall progress that is cumulative of Slayer's Behemoth & Weapon Mastery progress |
| Behemoth Mastery | Defeat, craft gear, and complete challenges that involve many of Dauntless's Behemoths |
| Weapon Mastery | Craft, use & complete achievements using the different weapons in Dauntless |
Raises Slayer Levels When Masteries Are Increased
When you level up your Masteries, weapon or Behemoth, the progress will work towards raising your Slayer Level. Reaching higher Slayer Levels will give you more rewards plus reaching Level 50 will give you the title "Master Slayer".
Max Slayer Level Rank Cap Is 50
As of the current Dauntless patch, the max Slayer Level / Rank cap is set at 50. Slayers who reach this level will receive the title "Master Slayer". Weapon & armor level cap are currently at +15.
How To Raise Mastery Levels
Complete Mastery Card Challenges
When you unlock a Mastery Card for a Behemoth or weapon, there will be a list of challenges outlined in their Mastery Card. Completing these challenges will raise your Mastery Level for that specific Mastery Card.
Defeat Behemoths To Raise Behemoth Mastery
In Dauntless, the best way to raise your Behemoth Mastery is to just keep defeating Behemoths according to their Mastery Card. This includes breaking parts & completing certain achievements such as dealing a set amount of damage per hunt.
Efficiently Use Weapons To Raise Weapon Mastery
When you craft and use specific weapons, this raises your Weapon Mastery. Each unique weapon in Dauntless has their own Mastery Card and has certain achievements you can accomplish to unlock rewards.
Raise Slayer Level By Increasing Behemoth & Weapon Mastery
Your Slayer Level will rise when you progress both your Behemoth & Weapon Masteries. Raising your Slayer Level will unlock rewards and access to higher level of upgrades for your gear.
Mastery System Rewards
Get Cores, Inventory Increase, & Status Buffs
When you level up your Slayer Level and Weapon & Behemoth Masteries, you'll unlock rewards such as Titles, Cores, additional inventory space for pots, increase in health & stamina, even added damage to breaking Behemoth parts.
Unlock New Weapon Specials & Mods
Specifically for Weapon Mastery, after reaching a certain level, you'll be able to unlock Weapon Specials and Mods that allow you to build a more powerful loadout - useful when hunting stronger, more durable monsters.
