What Are Exotic Reagents?

3 Types - Neutral, Elemental & Aetheric

There are three types of exotic reagents: Neutral, Elemental, and Aetheric. Each type of Reagent can be obtained from specific Behemoths when certain conditions are met.

Rare Materials For Crafting Exotic Gear

Exotic Reagents are rare materials & drops that you get from Behemoths. They are mainly needed for crafting Exotic weapons and armor. These materials are very rare and hard to gather.

Chance To Drop When Certain Criteria Is Achieved

Exotic Reagents need Slayers to complete a certain criteria before they get the chance of the drop. These criteria include breaking parts within 2 minutes of fighting the Behemoth or breaking parts while the Behemoth is enraged.

Not 100% Drop Even If Criteria Is Completed

Even if you and your team are able to complete the criteria needed for the Exotic Reagent to drop, there is no 100% assurance that you'll receive the material. It's best to

Obtainable Only From Behemoths Threat Level 8+

Obtainable Only From Behemoths Threat Level 8

These rare materials can only be dropped by Behemoths that are Threat Level 8 and above. This makes farming Exotic Reagents a challenge for many Slayers.

How To Farm Exotic Reagents

Exotic Reagents will only have a chance to drop if certain criteria are completed. These items do not have 100% chance to drop even if said criteria is achieved and can only be obtained from Behemoths Threat Level 8+.

Neutral Exotic Reagents Criteria List

Material Criteria
Neutral Clawgem Break legs within 2 minutes of fighting Neutral Behemoth.
Neutral Furyplate Break legs of Neutral Behemoth when enraged.
Neutral Furytail Break tail of Neutral Behemoth when enraged.
Neutral Furytooth Break head of Neutral Behemoth when enraged.
Neutral Skullgem Break head within 2 minutes of fighting Neutral Behemoth.
Neutral Tailgem Break tail within 2 minutes of fighting Neutral Behemoth.

Elemental Exotic Reagents Criteria List

Material Criteria
Elemental Clawgem Break legs within 2 minutes of fighting Elemental Behemoth.
Elemental Furyplate Break legs of Elemental Behemoth when enraged.
Elemental Furytail Break tail of Elemental Behemoth when enraged.
Elemental Furytooth Break head of Elemental Behemoth when enraged.
Elemental Skullgem Break head within 2 minutes of fighting Elemental Behemoth.
Elemental Tailgem Break tail within 2 minutes of fighting Elemental Behemoth.

The Ragetail Gnasher is recommended when farming Neutral Materials. It has predictable and slow attack patterns which you can use to gain positional advantage and focus your attacks on its parts.

The Deadeye Quillshot is another Behemoth recommended for farming neutral materials. It has several break parts, which you and your team can focus on. It's legs are not heavily armored, meaning you can also break its legs quickly.

Shockjaw Nayzaga

The Shockjaw Nayzaga will be staggered for a very long time once you destroy its special turret. This will give you a ton of to break its parts for elemental materials.

The Bloodfire Embermane may be fast, but it is easy to lock it down by booping it when it charges at the team. Once it is booped, the team can quickly break the parts of the Embermane to get the materials.

The Firebrand Charrog is a slow moving Behemoth with a very long Aether-charged state. Because of this, you will be able to focus your attacks on its head, legs, or tail and break them before it's aether-charged state ends.

Fight Slow-Moving, Predictable Behemoths

When farming for Exotic Reagents, it's highly suggested to fight Dire Behemoths that move slow and have very predictable movement.
