There are no titular jobs or classes in Dauntless. However, Slayers can change the weapon that they wield, allowing them to customize the way they play the game.

Weapons Have Unique Moves & Ways To Attack

Each of the 6 weapons in Dauntless have their own unique way of being played. Some focus on fast damage per second, while others are slower but deal heavier damage per hit.

Enhance Weapons With Supporting Builds

Depending on the chosen weapon, Slayers can also create specific complementary builds. This includes choosing the right armor pieces and equipped Cells that will make their weapons more effective during the hunt.

Weapons & Armor Can Be Upgraded

Enhancing and upgrading your weapons or armor will also be crucial in building your loadout. This determines how effective you'll be in a hunt and can drastically change how you play Dauntless.

Close-Range Combat With Sword

The sword is a weapon that specializes in close-range, severing damage that most beginners will find useful in breaking parts. With basic attacks that are simple to understand, the Sword is effective in every situation.

Use Hammer For Staggering Behemoths

Hammer is one of the few weapons in Dauntless that specializes in blunt damage. It is effective in dealing stagger damage that can stun Behemoths and break tough horns or shelled parts. The only downside is the relatively slow attack speed.

Axe For Hard-Hitting Severing Damage

The Axe is the severing counterpart of the Hammer. It also has slow attack speed but can hit very hard, doing great severing damage to Behemoth parts. This is a crucial focus point of Dauntless, especially when farming higher Threat Level Behemoths.

Fast Attack Speed & Mobility With Chain Blades

The Chain Blades specializes in hitting the Behemoths quickly and as many times as possible. It also grants large mobility, allowing you to dodge in time to avoid enemy attacks. It's a great high DPS weapon to wield.

Wounding Damage & Support With War Pike

The War Pike is another fast-hitting weapon in Dauntless. However, it focuses on dealing Wound damage to Behemoths, making it a great support weapon in multiplayer mode. Its special attacks also deal useful buffs that boost team performance.

Use Ostian Repeaters For Ranged, Continuous Damage

The Ostian Repeaters are the only completely ranged weapon in Dauntless. It can break & sever Behemoth parts, deal continual damage to its target, all in a safe distance away from the enemy.
