What Is Ramsgate?
A Social Space For Slayers
Ramsgate is a city-island in the Shattered Isles that serves as the shared social space in the world of Dauntless. In Ramsgate, you can meet and interact with other players before a hunt, craft and upgrade weapons and armor, and avail of the different services offered by the NPCs.
Starting Point When Logging In To Dauntless
Upon logging into Dauntless, all Slayers will be matched to an appropriate server and will start their session in Ramsgate. From here, you can interact with other players, and use the various other facilities offered by NPCs.

Katerin Sorrel - Mentor
Kat Sorrel acts as your Slayer Mentor and gives you your main quests in Dauntless. Visit her as you progress as a slayer to gain access to new quests.

The Middleman - Exchanges
The Middleman sells Cells that grant passive Perks, which you slot in to your armor and weapons. He can also fuse Cells to create a new Cell, buy requires time to do so. He is one of the few NPCs that require the game's premium currency.

Janek Zai - Ostian Admiral
Janek Zai crafts and upgrades Repeater parts for your Ostian Repeaters. He also crafts throwable grenades. As with the other crafting NPCs, he requires Rams, Behemoth parts, Archonite, and reagents you find in the field.
