The Valomyr is mostly stationary during the fight. However, it can teleport from one place to another with its teleport ability to flee away from harm.

Wielding the power of Radiant aether, the Valomyr attacks with hard light projectiles to attack at range and to protect itself in close range. It can also summon orbs that shoot out light projectiles from all angles. It also has the ability put up a barrier to shield itself, which Slayers must break.

Unlike your usual hunts, the Valomyr also spawns various crystals that grant you buffs to aid your fight. Simply pick them up to get the buff!

Appears As A Dire Level Behemoth

The regular Valomyr has a threat level 8, making it a Dire Level Behemoth. There are no lesser variants of this Behemoth.

Use Umbral Weapons & Radiant Armor

Use Umbral Weapons & Radiant Armor

The Valomyr is generally weak against Umbral weapons, and you'll have added resistance when fighting it using Radiant armor. However if fighting for the first time, you won't have access yet to these types of equipment, so feel free to use any build that you have. Avoid wearing Umbral armor.

Since the Valomyr doesn't have any interruptible moves and attacks, take advantage of his stationary nature, and stagger him by repeatedly hitting his head. A hammer with Knockout King and Overpower will do well in this fight.

Valomyr tends to teleport around the area frequently. When very close to the Valomyr, he will flee by teleporting. As he teleports out, the light beam will damage any surrounding Slayers. When a beam of light charges up and he slowly floats up, dodge out of the way.

After teleporting, it will spawn a row of laser projectiles that will shoot lasers towards its front. Simply run past these and head immediately towards the Valomyr.

He can also summon the same laser projectile orbs while he's stationary. You can destroy these, but focus on dodging since these orbs disappear after a just a few seconds. He can summon these from various different angles, whether from above or below, so watch out.

Spiral Radiant Projectiles

 Spiral Radiant Projectiles

One of his most damaging attacks, the spiral radiant projectiles spin around the Valomyr, knocking back Slayers and causing damage per hit. Avoid these, or try to keep a very close distance with Valomyr when attacking.

Observe body parts when they light up as this signifies an incoming short range radiant attack.

Enraged Radiant Shield

Enraged Radiant Shield

When enraged, the Valomyr will protect itself with a radiant shield. Those caught within it will be trapped inside together with the Valomyr, and allow them to do damage. However, those outside the shield must break it first to be able to deal direct damage.

Buff Crystals

Make sure to pick up the colored crystals that spawn around him. These will grant you buffs that will help you damage the the Valomyr.

The Valomyr is boop-able when you see his remote laser projectiles surround the air above it. You don't have to hit a specific part of its body but it will have a damage threshold you have to break to interrupt it.

Check For Red Marks On Valomyr's Head

 Check For Red Marks On Valomyr

You'll know the Valomyr is interruptible when you see the brigh red marks around its head area. This means that you should keep damaging it in order to interrupt its incoming attack.
