Efficient Leveling Methods and Tips
Equip Accessories that Increase EXP

If you want to level up, equip the accessory Exp Booster, which doubles the EXP gained by the equipped character. You can exchange it for 22 Frog Coins from the frog on the 2nd floor of the Ripple Town Mayor's house.
Double EXP is Only for the Equipped Character
The effect of Exp Booster only applies to the equipped character. Therefore, if you want to level up the entire party, you'll need to equip it sequentially.
Change Difficulty to Enjoy

Setting the difficulty to Enjoy will make enemies weaker and increase the EXP gained. The difficulty can be changed at any time, so be sure to use this when leveling up.
Also Aim for Double EXP with the Lucky Hammer

The Lucky Hammer, purchasable in Ripple Town, is a weapon that always triggers 'LUCKY' when an action command is successful. In this game, since you can visually time your button presses in the egg-hitting minigame, it's also an option to equip this and aim for double EXP.
Level Up After All Characters Have Joined

Since characters not participating in battle also gain the same EXP as those who fought, it's recommended to level up after Peach joins and all characters are available.
Leveling Using Party Wipes is Not Possible
In past games, there was a leveling method that utilized the specification where EXP and levels remained intact while game progress was rolled back upon a party wipe, by repeatedly using a Star and then getting wiped out. In this game, EXP is also reset upon a party wipe, so this method cannot be used.
Recommended Leveling Spots
Efficient Leveling is Difficult in the Early Game
There are no places to efficiently earn EXP in the early game, and since not all characters are available, spending a lot of time leveling up is not recommended. Enemies are not that strong either, so unless you absolutely cannot win, you don't need to level up.
If Anything, Don't Skip Enemies
In Mario RPG, you can easily skip battles by avoiding enemies on the path. If you skip too many minor enemies, you'll get less EXP, so it's recommended to fight a certain number of enemies while progressing through the early game.
[Mid-Game] Dry Bones in the Sunken Ship

If you want to level up in the mid-game, Dry Bones in the Sunken Ship are recommended. The EXP from a single one isn't high, but they often appear in groups and can be defeated in one hit with Mallow's area-of-effect skill, and they respawn after being defeated, making them suitable for leveling.
[Late Game] Mass-Produced Bosses in Weapon World
Mass-Produced Yaridovich

The 'Mass-Produced Yaridovich' that appears deep in Weapon World is recommended. It gives a lot of EXP, and you can travel to an adjacent map area using the map, making access good. Be aware that it takes a bit longer if it splits.
Mass-Produced Mack

Similarly, the 'Mass-Produced Mack' in Weapon World is also recommended. It's easier to defeat than Yaridovich, and can be defeated relatively easily using area-of-effect skills. The disadvantage is poor access as it's far from the entrance.
Leveling in the Early Part of Weapon World is Also an Option
Enemies in Weapon World generally give high EXP, so if you want to save the trouble of going deep into the area, leveling up with other enemies in Weapon World is also an option. Leveling up with 'Hippopo' or 'Yororeiho' that appear in the early part of Weapon World is also recommended.

Level Cap and Recommended Clear Level
Level Cap is 30

The level cap in Super Mario RPG Remake is 30, unchanged from the original game. You reach the maximum level by earning up to 9999 EXP.
Recommended Clear Level is 20
The recommended level for clearing the main story is around 20. This is just a guideline as equipment also plays a large role, but if your equipment is reasonably well-prepared around level 20, you should be able to clear the game without issues.
