Press the switch in the depression

Moleville

In the second area, don't climb the ledges; proceed along the ground towards the back. You'll see a depression, so go inside and jump to press the hidden switch. This will defeat all the Spikies hidden on the rocks above.

There's a Flower blooming in the back

If you continue along the ground to the back, a Flower is blooming. Pick it up to increase your max FP.

Monster List Entry Service Available

Moleville

Where you pressed the switch, there's a person who will fill in your Monster List for 3 Frog Coins. However, the entries are random, so use this when there are monsters you just can't seem to fill in.

Climb the rocks to proceed

Moleville

Climb the rocks to reach the exit of Moleville. After exiting, head to the next area, 'Booster Tower'.

After Clearing Booster Tower

Treasure chests

Moleville

Jump across the narrow platforms, and you'll find 3 treasure chests in the back. If you fall, you'll have to start over from the previous area, so proceed cautiously.

Up to Clearing Booster Tower

Entrance: Bowser Joins Your Party

Bowser Joins

When you visit Booster Tower, Bowser is at the entrance. The entrance is locked, but if you head towards the exit, Bowser will open it for you. He will then join your party, so let's enter the tower.

1st Floor Hall: To the 2nd Floor via the Stairs in the Back Left

1st Floor

Upon entering the tower, there's a Snifit at the front reception. Be careful, as talking to it will trigger a battle. The room entered from the front passage only has a seesaw, so climb the ledges in the back left of the hall to go up to the 2nd floor.

Memorize the portraits

Past Boosters

Portraits of past Boosters are displayed. You'll need to remember their appearance and which generation they are to obtain the key to enter the 'Ancestor Room' later.

2nd Floor Stairs

Hidden Treasure Chest

Snifits descend in a single file line on the stairs from the 2nd to the 3rd floor. You can avoid battle by walking along the wall. Also, there's a hidden treasure chest where you climb to the 3rd floor, so try jumping.

3rd Floor: Talk to Booster

Conversation with Booster

When you reach the 3rd-floor passage, Booster appears riding a toy train. After a conversation, Booster leaves to the left of the passage.

Battle with Snifits

Snifit

If you chase Booster, his minions (Snifits) will appear and a battle will occur. If you follow the tracks in the opposite direction, you can obtain a 'Flower Capsule'.

There's a Flower Capsule

Right Passage

Meanwhile, at the end of the right passage where the train departs, there's a 'Flower Capsule', so don't forget to get it.

3rd Floor Stairs: Bob-ombs are walking around

Bob-omb

Bob-ombs are walking around on the stairs from the 3rd to the 4th floor. You can avoid battle by walking slowly up instead of dashing.

The room in front

Seesaw

When you enter the room, the platform is broken, and there's a treasure chest. If you jump, you can descend to the room on the 1st floor where a Bob-omb is on a seesaw. You can use the seesaw to get the 'Masher'.

4th Floor: Press the switch

Switch

There's a '?' switch in the room. Pressing it will change the terrain in 'Moleville', the area you passed through on the way to Booster Tower.

4th Floor Stairs

Retro

As you go up the stairs, there's a space hidden by a curtain. If you enter, you can transform into the Famicom (NES) version of Mario once. You'll change back when you leave the room, so have some fun with it.

5th Floor: Avoid the Bullet Bills and enter the room

Bullet Bill

Snifits are waiting on the ledges, and as you climb the stairs, Snifit No. 3 is firing Bullet Bills from its mouth.

6th Floor: Bob-ombs are walking around

Bob-omb

Bob-ombs are walking around on the ledges. You can avoid battle by climbing at the right time.

7th Floor: Save Point and 'Ancestor Room'

Ancestor Room

There's a save point on the 7th floor. Further on, portraits of past Boosters are displayed. Examine the portraits in order from the 1st to the 7th generation Booster, matching them with the ones displayed in the 1st-floor hall.

Chomp is here

A captured Chomp is in the Ancestor Room. It becomes Bowser's weapon, so get it here and equip it.

7th Floor: Jump on the Thwomp's seesaw

Thwomp

Climb the stairs, and you'll find a Thwomp on a seesaw. There's a treasure chest containing a Mushroom in the back, so don't forget to open it. If you jump onto the seesaw, you can fly up to the floor above.

8th Floor: Jump across the platforms

Snifit

On the 8th floor, the platforms are separated, and you need to jump across them. Also, Snifits will descend by parachute.

There's a Frog Coin in a hidden passage

Frog Coin

There's a Frog Coin at the end of the passage where the Snifits are walking, so be sure to get it.

9th Floor: Proceed through the mine room

The 9th floor is a 'mine room' where stepping on certain tiles causes Boos to appear. There are no mines where coins are located, and you can proceed by exiting the room through the door in the upper left.

There's a treasure chest

Zoom Shoes

There's a key on the right side of the room, and if you enter the room in the upper right, you can get the 'Zoom Shoes'.

9th Floor Stairs

Chomp Area

The exit in the back left of the mine room leads to stairs with Chomps. You can avoid the Chomps by walking along the wall or jumping.

10th Floor: Booster drops Bob-ombs

Reunion with Booster

Another conversation event with Booster occurs. He drops Bob-ombs from above, but by leaving the room, the Bob-ombs will explode and disappear.

Open the treasure chest

Save Point

After talking to Booster, climb the stairs to the 11th floor, which has a save point. There's a treasure chest that can be opened by jumping straight up to it, but if you jump on top of this chest, there's also a hidden treasure chest, so don't forget to open it.

Enter Booster's Room

Booster

Once you enter Booster's room, you can peek at the balcony from the exit. After a conversation with Peach, Booster and his gang will enter the room, so hide behind the curtains.

Try the curtain game

Curtain Game

The Snifits will open the curtains one by one, so hide well. Eventually, there will be 3 Snifits, only one hiding spot left, and Booster will open the curtain. By picking up the Mario doll for him, you can get 'Booster's Charm'.

If you fail, you'll have to fight Booster

If the curtain is opened and Mario is found, you'll have to fight Booster. Try to avoid fighting as it's before a boss battle.

Boss Battle on the Balcony

Knife Guy & Grate Guy

When you go out onto the balcony from Booster's room, it's immediately a boss battle. You'll fight Knife Guy & Grate Guy.

  • Equip the Anti-Sleep/Daze Badge
  • The brothers have different weaknesses
  • Defeat Grate Guy (the taller one) first
  • Use Bowser to inflict Fear on the enemies

Descend from the balcony to the ground and head to Booster Hill

End

Chasing Booster, Mario and his friends go straight from the tower to Booster Hill.

Up to Clearing Booster Hill

Enter immediately after clearing Booster Tower

Start

After defeating Knife Guy & Grate Guy in Booster Tower, you'll immediately move to Booster Hill and a minigame will start. Be careful, as you cannot return to the save point before entering Booster's room.

Booster Hill Rules

  • - Mario can only move left/right and jump
  • - You'll stumble if hit by chasing Snifits or barrels from the front
  • - Successfully jumping on them gives you a big boost forward
  • - Touching Peach gives you a 'Flower'

Changes from the Original Game

Red Barrel

Red barrels, which didn't appear in the original game, will roll down. They are faster than normal barrels, so be careful not to stumble.

Check the speed of the red barrels

You can only try it once

In the Booster Hill race, you can get 'Flowers' for each time you touch Peach. However, this event of chasing Booster is a one-time only event. From the next time onwards, it becomes a simple hill dash, and the specification changes so that you can collect any missed Flowers.

When visiting for the second time or later

Climb the hill with Mario alone

Later

Snifits and Booster will not appear, and Mario will run up the hill alone with only barrels rolling down. However, any 'Flowers' missed on the first run will be on the path, so collect them.

Booster Hill Rules (2nd time onwards)

  • - Mario can only move left/right and jump
  • - You'll stumble if hit by barrels rolling from the front
  • - Jumping on barrels gives you a boost forward
  • - You can get 'Flowers' lying on the path

You can collect Flowers

Flower

You can't race Booster, but from the second time onwards, Mario can climb the hill alone. The Flowers you couldn't get on the first run will be on the path.

Number of Flowers
Max 8 - Number obtained on first run = Number of Flowers on subsequent runs

Up to Clearing Marrymore

First, get your equipment at the item shop

Item Shop

Bowser, who joined in Booster Tower, has no equipment. First, let's get weapons and armor for each character at the item shop. If Mario has the Masher and Bowser has the Chomp (obtained in Booster Tower), you don't need to buy them.

Cannot enter from the front entrance of the wedding chapel

Raz and Raini

You've chased Booster here, but it seems the front entrance of the wedding chapel is occupied by Snifits and you can't enter. Raz and Raini, who came from Mushroom Kingdom, are troubled because they can't have their wedding.

Enter from the back entrance of the chapel

Back Entrance

A photographer apparently witnessed someone who looked like a chef entering through the back entrance of the wedding chapel. As shown in the diagram, let's sneak in through the entrance on the back side of the chapel.

Body slam the door with Snifit No. 1

Door Charge 1

You'll be spotted by Snifit No. 1, who was blocking the front entrance. However, Snifit No. 1 also got locked out, so charge into the wall at the same time to enter the chapel room.

Body slam the door with Bowser

Charge with Bowser

Snifit No. 1 flies straight into the chapel. The door is closed again, but Bowser suggests charging to open it. Time your body slam with his. There's also a save point, so don't forget it.

Collect Peach's accessories

Accessories

A minigame begins where you have to find Peach's accessories that were scattered by the body slam.

  • - There are 4 types of accessories in total
  • - Get from Snifits: Shoes, Brooch, Ring
  • - Examine above Booster's head: Crown
  • - Torches light up over time
  • - The reward changes depending on the number of lit torches

Talk to the Snifits running around

Rules

The Snifits holding the accessories are running around inside the church. Talk to them quickly to get the accessories.

Rewards based on torches

Kiss

The fewer torches are lit, the different the kissing partner for the reward will be. One torch lights up approximately every 4 seconds. If you can collect them within 2 lit torches, you'll get a kiss from Peach as a reward.

Boss battle when trying to leave the chapel

Cake

Mario has successfully rescued Peach. When trying to leave the chapel, Chef Torte gets angry that they won't eat the cake he made, and a battle occurs. The boss battle with Chef Torte, his Apprentice, and Bundt begins.

  • - Prepare for status ailments beforehand
  • - First, reduce Bundt's (the cake's) HP
  • - Extinguish the candle flames with normal attacks
  • - Defeat the remaining Chef Torte (Raspberry) last

Leave Marrymore and return to Mushroom Kingdom

If you leave the village from the entrance you came from (Booster Hill side), you will automatically return to Mushroom Kingdom. In Mushroom Kingdom, after reporting the rescue and introducing your companions to the Chancellor, Peach will leave the party. When you leave the castle, Peach, who has snuck out of the castle, will rejoin your party.

You can stay in the Suite Room

Suite Room

After clearing Marrymore, if you visit the inn, you can stay in the suite room. It costs 200 coins, but you can receive items depending on the number of times you stay.

Up to Clearing Star Hill

Hear about Star Hill from Frogfucius

Frogfucius

At Tadpole Pond, you can hear about the location of the next Star Piece from Frogfucius. After the conversation, the next map after Marrymore will be added.

Go get the Cricket Cracker

If talking to Frogfucius doesn't let you proceed, you might not have completed the event to give him the Cricket Cracker. First, go to the item shop in Mushroom Kingdom, receive the Cricket Cracker, and come back.

Star Hill has no treasure chests or bosses

Geno Explains

There's an explanation by Geno at the entrance. In Star Hill, monsters will appear, but there are no boss battles and no treasure chests, so you can explore at your leisure.

Light the Star Flowers to open the door

Star Flower

Examining a Star Flower will light it up. When all Star Flowers in the map are lit, a door will appear on a star with a keyhole. Once you enter the door, you cannot return to the previous map.

Normal attacks are strictly forbidden against star-shaped Geckits

Geckit

Be careful when fighting Geckits. Star-shaped Geckits will counter normal attacks with an instant death attack. Their weakness is fire, so defeat them with Mario's Fireball.

You can hear wishes from stars with faces

Wish

The stars with faces scattered throughout the map contain the wishes of characters appearing in Mario RPG. Try to guess whose wish it is.

Wishes of defeated bosses also appear

Mack

Wishes from bosses you have defeated so far will start to appear.

Find the Star Piece in Map 3

Star Piece

The Star Piece is in the northeast of the map you visit after opening the star door with a keyhole three times. There are no particular events after obtaining it, so you can exit to the world map.
