Chains Are Important for High Scores

When the star you fire hits a shell, it creates more stars, starting a chain. The score doubles with each chain, so aiming for chains is crucial for getting a high score.

Wait for Shells to Accumulate Before Firing

Wait for Shells to Accumulate Before Firing

To get a high score, you want to get as many chains as possible, so it's recommended to wait until a certain number of shells have accumulated on the screen before firing.

Staying at the Edge of the Screen Makes Dodging Easier

Staying at the Edge of the Screen Makes Dodging Easier

It's difficult to dodge shells and stars near the center, so the edges of the screen are recommended. It's best to stay near either the left or right edge of the screen and move as needed.

You Can Use 3 Buttons to Mash When Down

You Can Use 3 Buttons to Mash When Down

The Background Changes Depending on Your Party

The Background Changes Depending on Your Party

As a bit of trivia, if you put Geno or Peach in the middle of your three-person party, the background of Beetle Mania will change to the sky. This doesn't affect the gameplay itself, but give it a try if you want a change of scenery.
