This is a walkthrough for Wiggler's Forest in the Super Mario RPG Remake. It covers how to navigate the Wiggler's Forest maze, the correct route, secret rooms, and hidden treasure chests.

*For normal treasure chests 4 and 5, if you press the switch in the house on the cliff in Rose Town, they will change to Mushroom (Instant).

Wiggler's Forest Walkthrough Chart

Follow the path

Enter the stump

After entering Wiggler's Forest, follow the path and enter the furthest stump in the map area with multiple stumps.

Enter by pressing the "A button"

Like pipes, you can enter stumps by pressing the A button.

Step on the sleeping Wiggler underground

Wiggler

Step on the sleeping Wiggler in the underground area of the stump, and a new path will appear on the surface. Go back up and proceed.

At the crossroads with 4 exits, follow Geno

Follow Geno

In the forest with 4 exits, going the wrong way will send you back to where you started. The path Geno takes is the correct route, so follow Geno to proceed.

How to navigate the crossroads and map

  • 1. At the crossroads, go bottom-right
  • 2. Proceed top-right
  • 3. Proceed top-right
  • 4. Proceed bottom-right
  • 5. Proceed top-right
  • 6. In the final area, go top-left

Battle with Bowyer

Bowyer
  • - Be careful of command prohibition
  • - Take measures so Mallow doesn't fall asleep
  • - Keep HP high when A is prohibited
  • - Super Jump and Geno Beam are your main attacks
  • - Be careful with Geno's HP management
  • - After dealing a certain amount of damage, finish with a "Triple Move"

When you reach the deepest part, a battle with the boss "Bowyer" will occur. Geno will join, and you will fight as a team of three. Bowyer uses sleep attacks and powerful lightning magic, so prepare sleep resistance and healing methods before challenging him.

Triple Move

After dealing some damage to Bowyer, an event will occur. All commands will be sealed, but you'll get an explanation on how to use Triple Moves and be able to deliver the finishing blow.

Once Geno joins, return to town and report

Geno

After the battle, "Geno" will officially join your party. Return to town and report to Gaz at the inn.

Head to the next area

The next area is Pipe Vault. It's not mandatory to go, but it's necessary to clear it to go to Yo'ster Isle, so be sure to stop by.

How to Get to the Secret Room

You can get a hint in Rose Town

House on the cliff

You can get a hint on how to get to the secret room from the house on the cliff in Rose Town.

  • - Where there are 4 exits
  • - Judge by the direction Mario is facing
  • - Go in the order: left → left → straight → right

What to do to get the hint

Get on head

To get the hint from the house's owner, you need to get him back into the house. Jump on the owner's head to reach the house, then press the switch on the second floor to let the owner back in and hear the hint.

Treasure chest contents change depending on when you open them

Treasure chest contents

The contents of the treasure chest in the house and some chests in Wiggler's Forest change depending on whether you press the button before or after the owner enters. If you don't need to hear the hint, it's recommended to open the house's treasure chest and go to Wiggler's Forest without pressing the button, as you can get 5 Flowers.

How to navigate the crossroads and map

  • 1. At the crossroads, go top-left
  • 2. Proceed bottom-left
  • 3. Proceed bottom-left
  • 4. Finally, proceed top-left

To the "left" from Mario's perspective

First left

First, take the path to the left from Mario's perspective.

Next, take the path to the left from Mario's perspective.

"Straight ahead" from Mario's perspective

Next, go straight ahead to the next area.

To the "right" from Mario's perspective

Finally, move to the area on the right from Mario's perspective.

There's a single stump, enter it

After passing through the area with four exits, you'll arrive at an area with a lone stump. Enter the stump to find the secret room.

There is a secret room

In the forest where you can go in 4 directions, from Mario's perspective, proceed in the order 'left → left → straight → right' to reach the secret room. The hint can be obtained from the owner of the house on the cliff in Rose Town.

Some treasure chest contents change

In the house of the owner who gives the hint, the contents of the house's treasure chest and the hidden treasure chests in Wiggler's Forest change depending on whether you open the treasure chest before or after the owner arrives.

There are collectible mushrooms

Mushroom

The mushrooms on the ground in Wiggler's Forest can be either items or enemy monsters. If they don't move when you approach, they are items, so pick them up.

Stepping on Wiggler yields coins

You get 1 coin each time you step on it, and if you step on it 10 times in a row, you get a Frog Coin.
