How to Dash and Controls
Default Movement is Dashing
In Mario RPG Remake, normal movement with the L-stick or D-pad is a dash. Therefore, no special controls are needed to dash.
Use L/R Buttons in Walk Mode
If your settings are in Walk Mode, you can dash by moving while holding down either the L or R button.
How to Switch Between Dashing and Walking
Can Be Switched from System Menu
You can switch between Walk/Dash mode by going to + Button → System → Settings. The default is Dash, so if you want to dash by pressing a button, switch to Walk mode.
Walk with L/R Buttons In Dash Mode
In Dash Mode, you can walk by moving while holding down either the L or R button. There are generally no situations where you need to walk, but it can be useful when you want to move cautiously on narrow platforms.
