Stay at the Suite in Marrymore Village After Clearing the Game

Mario RPG Remake_Suite

To rematch Strawberry & Raspberry, you need to clear the game to the ending once and then stay at the hotel suite in Marrymore Village.

Rematch at the Wedding Hall in Marrymore Village

Mario RPG Remake_Rematch Strawberry & Raspberry_Wedding Hall

After staying at the suite, you can rematch them at the back of the wedding hall in Marrymore Village.

Strawberry & Raspberry Rematch Strategy and Countermeasures

  • Prepare countermeasures for status ailments
  • If all candles are lit, it's 9999 damage to all
  • Extinguish flames with normal attacks
  • Putting Chef Torte to sleep stabilizes the fight
  • Strawberry is weak to Jump

Prepare Countermeasures for Status Ailments

They use various status ailment attacks like sleep and fear on all party members, so equip gear that provides status ailment protection before the battle.

If All Candles Are Lit, It's 9999 Damage to All

Mario RPG Remake_Rematch Strawberry & Raspberry_9999 Damage

If all of Strawberry's candles are lit, an attack dealing 9999 damage to all party members will be triggered. One candle is lit each turn Chef Torte acts.

Extinguish Flames with Normal Attacks

Use normal attack to extinguish candles

Hitting Strawberry with a normal attack can extinguish one candle flame. Incorporate normal attacks into your strategy to prevent the flames from increasing.

Putting Chef Torte to Sleep Stabilizes the Fight

Mario RPG Remake_Rematch Strawberry & Raspberry_Sleep Status

Chef Torte is weak to sleep. Using Peach's "Sleepy Time" to put it to sleep will stop it from lighting candles, making it easier to perform actions other than normal attacks and stabilizing the strategy.

Strawberry is Weak to Jump

Mario RPG Remake_Rematch Strawberry & Raspberry_Jump Weakness

Since Strawberry is weak to Jump, focus on dealing damage with Mario's Jump attacks.

Note: Jump Attacks Cannot Extinguish Candle Flames

Candle flames can only be extinguished by normal attacks, so use Jump attacks after putting Chef Torte to sleep.
