Ripple Town Item Shop Before Sunken Ship

Image of missable elements

The item shop in Ripple Town sells items that are only available before clearing the Sunken Ship. Among them, "Poison Mushroom" and "Muku Cookie" are difficult items to obtain, so it’s worth purchasing them at least once to experience their unique effects.

Speardovich's Choices

Depending on how you respond when Speardovich—disguised as the Ripple Town elder—demands the Star Piece, the item you receive from the real elder later will change. For an efficient playthrough, it’s better not to refuse.

Enemies in Some Areas After Clearing

In some areas like Moleville, there may be enemies that do not reappear after clearing. The monster list can be filled by the registrar in Bean Valley, but if you want to fill it by fighting them directly, make sure not to miss them before clearing.

Elements That Are No Longer Missable

Mushroom Castle's Hidden Treasure Chest

The hidden treasure chest (Frog Coin) above the door in the first map of Mushroom Castle could only be reached when first visiting in past games, and was missable if missed once. This time, Toad is always wandering around, allowing you to get on top at any time.

Booster Tower's Curtain Hide-and-Seek

Curtain Game

The "Booster's Charm" obtained from the curtain hide-and-seek in Booster Tower had no way to be reacquired in past games. This time, it can be obtained during the post-game rematch with Booster.

Dodo Statue Mini-Game and Feather Reward

Successfully completing the mini-game where Dodo pecks the statue in Nimbus Land rewards you with "Dodo's Feather." In the original version, failing meant you could never get it. In the remake, however, it becomes available for purchase at the curio shop in Moleville after clearing Nimbus Land—succeeding in the mini-game lets you obtain two.
