Mario RPG Remake_Suite

To rematch Belome, you need to clear the game to the ending once and then stay at the suite in the Marrymore hotel.

Rematch in the Depths of Belome Temple

Mario RPG Remake_Belome Rematch_Location

After staying at the suite, you can rematch Belome in the deepest part of Belome Temple. You can go directly to the deepest part by entering from the jump platform on the left side of Monstrotown.

Belome Rematch Strategy and Countermeasures

  • Fear is effective
  • Prepare for Sleep status
  • Inflicting Silence can also counter Sleep
  • Weak to Thunder
  • Beware of barriers when fake characters appear

Fear is effective

Mario RPG Remake_Belome Rematch_Fear Status

Fear status is effective against Belome, so Bowser's "Terrorize" is effective. It increases damage dealt and reduces damage taken, making the fight easier.

Switch to other characters after inflicting Fear

Bowser is troublesome if copied. He has high HP and takes time to defeat, so switch characters after inflicting Fear.

Prepare for Sleep status

Mario RPG Remake_Belome Rematch_Sleep Countermeasures

Belome has multiple attack patterns that inflict Sleep status, so counter with equipment that prevents sleep.

Recommended Anti-Sleep Equipment

EquipmentHow to Obtain
Mario RPG Remake_Accessory_IconSafety Ring
Treasure chest in Sunken Ship's hidden room
Mario RPG Remake_Accessory_IconWake Up Pin

After defeating Valentina, talk to the mouse on the 2nd floor of a house in Monstrotown, then give the "Seed" and "Fertilizer" to the planter in Rose Town, and obtain it from the treasure chest at the end of the beanstalk that appears.
Mario RPG Remake_Armor_IconSuper Suit
After achieving 100 Super Jumps, talk to the Chow in the house on the 2nd floor of Monstrotown.

Inflicting Silence can also counter Sleep

Mario RPG Remake_Belome Rematch_Silence Status

Silence is effective against Belome, so you can counter Sleep with Peach's "Mute". However, note that it cannot coexist with Fear status.

Weak to Thunder

Mario RPG Remake_Belome Rematch_Thunderbolt

Belome is weak to Thunder. Mallow's 'Thunderbolt' deals massive damage.

Beware of barriers when fake characters appear

Mario RPG Remake_Belome Rematch_Barrier

In the Belome rematch, he deploys a barrier when fake characters appear. Defeating the fake character will remove the barrier, so prioritize defeating the fake characters.

Barrier effects differ for each character

The type of attacks nullified by the barrier differs for each fake character. Depending on the barrier's effect, it may be fine to ignore it.

Flavor Text

Belome (Sore Throat)

  1. Belome (Sore Throat)

    My throat's all tingly...
    I'm not happy at all~.

Long before Frogfucius was called Sage by everyone...
since he was just a young, newly transformed frog,
    Belome lived in Belome Temple.

Fake Mario (Strong)

  1. Fake Mario (Strong)

    !

Only this Fake Mario, I really don't know
what he's thinking. If only he'd convey his thoughts with gestures or something.

Fake Mallow (Strong)

  1. Fake Mallow (Strong)

The bathroom at night is scary~.

This monster's belt also has 'Mallow' written on it,
so probably even Frogfucius wouldn't be able to tell him from the real one.

Fake Geno (Strong)

  1. Fake Geno (Strong)

Star Pieces and stuff, I don't really care about them!

Seeing as he doesn't try to use 'Geno Boost' to strengthen allies,
it seems he couldn't copy the heart that cares for comrades.

Fake Bowser (Strong)

  1. Fake Bowser (Strong)

    Gahahahaha!

This Fake Bowser too, as usual,
will probably kidnap Fake Peach, but Fake Mario
has no interest in that at all.

Fake Peach (Strong)

  1. Fake Peach (Strong)

    Hey Chancellor,
    don't you think I'm still beautiful~~?

If it can be copied this perfectly like the real thing,
then surely the shoes, ring, brooch, and crown
must also be exactly like the real ones.
