This is a guide for Mushroom Kingdom in Super Mario RPG Remake. It includes information on hidden treasure chests, sub-events, and trivia in Mario RPG's Mushroom Kingdom.

Walkthrough for Your First Visit
Enter Mushroom Kingdom
Proceed straight after entering the area to find Mushroom Kingdom. Follow the Toad inside.
Talk to the Chancellor
Go to the back of the castle to talk to the Chancellor. You will be told to prepare for your journey in the storeroom.
Collect Items in the Storeroom
From the room where you talked to the Chancellor, go straight out, take the right entrance, then the bottom entrance to reach the storeroom. You can get a Mushroom, Flower, and 10 Coins here, so be sure to visit.
Talk to Mallow
An event will start when you leave the castle. Talk to the crying Mallow to have him join your party. Mallow is a character who can perform area-of-effect attacks and heal with special moves.
Get a Pick Me Up at the Item Shop
After Mallow joins, go to the Item Shop to receive a Pick Me Up. While you're preparing for your adventure by buying recovery items and armor, be sure to collect the hidden treasure chest in the basement.
Get the Signal Ring
Talk to the old woman in the basement of the Item Shop, and she will tell you the location of a hidden treasure chest. It contains the Signal Ring. Equipping it will cause a sound to play and text to appear in the top right of the screen when a hidden treasure chest is nearby.
Jump on Toad's Head to Open the Hidden Treasure Chest
After talking to the Chancellor, leave the castle and re-enter. A Toad will be standing there. Jump on his head to get the hidden treasure chest.
Talk to the Guard Near the Exit
Talk to the guard Toad at the exit on the right side of the area to get a "Map". You will then proceed to Bandit's Way, but there are sub-events that only occur at this stage, so it's recommended to explore the castle town before moving on.

Help People Being Attacked
In Mushroom Kingdom, people are being attacked by Shy Guys everywhere. Helping them may reward you with items. Especially don't miss the two places where you can get a Flower Capsule.

After defeating the Shy Guy, you'll be asked if you want to return the wallet. Return it to get a reward.

There's a Shy Guy inside the house. They are on the 1st and 2nd floors. Defeat both to get a reward.
Help the Toad in Mushroom Kingdom
Immediately upon entering, a Toad and a Shy Guy will cross your path; help them. Afterwards, defeat the Shy Guy in front of the stairs in the left room and the one in front of the door after climbing the stairs. This will allow you to heal and save in Peach's room.
Choose "It's okay"

When you enter Peach's room, a Toad will speak to you, and a choice will appear. Choose "It's okay" to get a Flower Capsule. If you choose "It's not okay," you won't get anything, so be careful.
Talk to the Guard in the Upper Right Room
In the room in the upper right, there's a Toad in the corner, so talk to him. You'll receive the "Wake Up Pin," which prevents Silence and Sleep.
Collect Items in the Storeroom
In the storeroom in the lower right, the treasure chests you opened on your first visit have reappeared. You can get a Mushroom, Flower, and 10 Coins, so be sure to open them.
Proceed Further to Fight Mack
- - Thunderbolt is effective
- - Have Mario focus on healing
Mack appears with 4 Bodyguards, and the Bodyguards will periodically reappear even if defeated. Mallow's Thunderbolt is effective, so have Mario focus on normal attacks and healing with items.
Get the First Star Piece
Defeat Mack to get the first Star Piece. Afterwards, talk to the Chancellor crouching in the back of the room.
Stop by the Item Shop Before Heading to the Next Area
After defeating Mack, go to the Item Shop to get a "Cricket Pie". You can exchange it for Mallow's weapon in the next area, so be sure to stop by the Item Shop before heading to Kero Sewers.
Walkthrough After Peach Joins
Talk to the Chancellor
When you enter Mushroom Kingdom, you'll have a conversation with a Toad. Afterwards, proceed to the Chancellor's room and talk to him, and Princess Peach will leave the party.
Leave Mushroom Kingdom
After finishing your conversation with the Chancellor and leaving Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach will descend from the sky.
Talk to Peach Who Descended
Talk to Princess Peach who descended, and she will join your party again. Next, you will head to "Tadpole Pond".
Collect Cricket Pie if Not Yet Obtained
If you haven't been to the Mushroom Kingdom Item Shop since defeating Mack, go there now and get the "Cricket Pie".

Storeroom Treasure Chests Can Be Opened Twice
The treasure chests in the storeroom can be opened a total of two times: before clearing Bandit's Way and after clearing Bandit's Way.
Go to the Item Shop Immediately After Mallow Joins

After defeating the attacking Shy Guy, you will be asked if you want to return the wallet recovered from Croco. Return the wallet to get a reward. If you choose not to return it, you can talk to them again to get the option.

Show a Jump and...
Talk to the pink person near the center of the area, and they will ask you to show them a jump. Press the B button on the spot to jump, and they will be pleased.
Samus is Sleeping in the Guest Room
In the guest room on the right side after entering Mushroom Kingdom, Samus Aran, the protagonist of Metroid, is sleeping.
Help the Storekeeper

When Mushroom Kingdom is occupied by Mack and swarming with Shy Guys, the storekeeper Toad is also being attacked. Defeat the Shy Guys and talk to him to receive a "Wake Up Pin".
Peach's Body Double is...
Peach accompanies the journey to save Star Road. To avoid worrying the Chancellor, Grandma is disguised as Peach.
A Grudge Over Money Lasts Forever...
After obtaining the wallet from Croco in Bandit's Way, if you sell it instead of returning it to its owner in Mushroom Kingdom, you will be resented. From then on, they will hold such a deep grudge that they will only say "I'll curse you" when spoken to.
